Yep I did, but even if I sign up now, my application would be dated 4th November, surely they won't insist my sign up promo is $50?

Both the SG50 (till 31 Dec 2015) and $100 (till 31 Mar 2016) promotions are running concurrently now, with the spending requirement very much the same. We can hope that the system is programmed correctly to give the $100, but then based on past experience there is a chance that there may be a glitch to the system. No harm to keep a copy of the TnC, just in case there is need to ask for the full $100 to be credited.

Cause if ure new customer u can get $100.

Tmd I applied a few days before the $100 promo, very Gek Sim.

Agree that scb call centre is horrible, I even raised my voice at them for trying to sell me a credit line and trying to convince me it's not a loan.

I don't understand?

One of the requirements for the $100 is that you did not have any credit cards with SCB in the last 6 months. $100 is for the first card applied successfully, $50 subsequently. Need to spend $500 within first month for each card for the respectively cashback

Oh that is unfortunate. Strange why they run two promo at the same time.

I just received the person's email. Apparently a "Preferred Relationship Manager" haha. Don't know preferred by who. But the T&C she sent is weird..

Oh is that what wts2013 means? Just wasn't sure why he/she suddenly say that out of nowhere. :s13: Yeah I'm glad I've held out so long refusing to own too many cards. Now is a good time to reap the benefits because there seems to be many cards with cashback promo now as oppose to last year. Last year everyone seemed to be giving luggage bags. :s13:

zhooge that sucks, but $50 also better than nothing I guess. Look on the bright side haha.

Actually, is anyone able to open the application page on their website? I can't seem to do it, i only see a blank page when i click on "apply now".

Can submit hardcopy and still be eligible for the $100 right?

First time I click I got blank page also. Second time I click a pop-up window apply to ask if I am existing customer or not. I reached an application form after answering no change in income/employment. But if I clicked yes to change in income/employment, it is blank. When I click on the non-existing customer is it blank also. Think there is a glitch. Anyway should be ok to apply through hardcopy form, as no such mention in the TnC

Edit: Can try click from here instead https://www.sc.com/sg/credit-cards/

Thanks for the link! Seems odd that scb has so many dead and broken links! Somebody's not doing their work in the IT department~

Do you think the lady who called me and emailed me the form would lose out commission if I applied online? I don't trust her weird T&Cs..

Definitely, cos u apply online don't have her referral id.

Ah.. But I don't trust her leh. Credit card promo also don't know, T&Cs also send me old one, and I just realised as mentioned in the form itself, I'm a Singapore citizen which means I don't even need to provide proof of address but she asked me for it. The online form also never ask me for that leh.

I scared if I reply to her email with my application she might screw it up haha. And also cause she want me to sign off on the old T&Cs.

I got a similar situation whereby someone from the bank called me regarding the application of the CC online, the person say the application missing some information or not clear, then the person proceed to sent a application form to me via email for me to fill up, and request me to sent it back.

Of course, i reapply again on the website, i not sure whether by applying through email will have those 'gift' or not.

Maybe the guy updating the website got retrenched.

Gloom at StanChart S’pore as bank announced 15,000 job cuts globally
http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/business/singapore/gloom-at-stanchart-s-pore/2237324.html

Haha that's funny and sad at the same time.

My friend just complained about SCB not allowing a late charge waiver because a long time ago they waived once for her already. I am of the opinion that usually banks don't allow more than twice right? Really don't know how to feel indignant for her when it's really her own fault for forgetting to pay cause she was travelling during the payment due date period.

Online Hotel Reservations (Free Cancellation)

If I made online hotel bookings via Expedia with "free cancellation" up to a certain date (say 18 Nov), does it mean that Expedia will only charge to the card on 18 Nov, & post transaction a few days later ?

Would it still be online transaction as there was no SMS authorisation when I made the reservation.

TIA
