I spent $248 on a local website, paid in SGD... Now i see statement amt is $249.98.... Think i kanna abt 0.8% charge.

Yes. SCB fx fee 3.5%. Highest in the market. Nett rebate 3.5%. BOC fx fee 1.5%. Nett rebate 4.5% if in the 6% rebate band.

Local spend: SCB wins!

My information is from BOC website. Under fees for foreign currency transactions.

It did not state to have additional 1% fee imposed by Visa/MC.

So is their website info wrong? You have another source of info? I know that somebody will attack me for this so I looked on the website before posting (***trying to duck arrows***)
