SCB very sneaky.

On their online banking, I have PM them to re-confirm on the merchants which I have just spend on. SCB reply was damn sucky.

In summary, they cannot guarantee which merchants are classified as online and if the transaction required an OTP, it will be most likely online merchant.

For info, klook & Changi Travel services didn't require an OTP.

Moving on, I'll only use this card when I have min $600 / max $800ish in one transaction to buy online air tickets.

Save the hassle of not meeting the min sum.

I will just go back to my default DBS livefresh 5% cash rebates for online and paywave purchases.

SC cannot be compared to DBS. This year I was able to get approval for annual fee waiver. But in the end the waiver never came and we had to call and use ibanking before they approve manually. Only good thing is they don't have much exclusions for their cards.

Anybody knows whether Klook online booking still qualifies for the online rebate?
What about Asiatravel website?

Is there an exclusion for "app"? An "app" is merely a software application that which carries out transactions over the internet, much like how a browser (which can arguably be said to be an "app" as well). So if I use a browser app to go to Amazon to buy something, would that arguably be excluded as well?

Not sure I see the CSO's logic.

Wah piang. I never recv any cash back this month for my online bill payment to StarHub, uber and Taobao purchases. $700++ in total amount. The CSO say got some glitch and she will manually credit the cash back into my account later in 1-2 days

I paid my bills for M1, SingTel, StarHub... all rebated.

Pay at telco website? First time using this card, so rebate is immediate on same statement or similar to manhatten card which can only offset for future statement spending?tia.

Very scary becoz although tnc does exclude bill payment but they stated merchants eligibility will be based on their decision stipulated from time to time.

My wife got charged annual fee. As she is too lazy to call, i have to call but i have the huskiest male deep voice ever.
Possible to send a message within online banking account to them to waive?
Anyone tried?

LOL I handle all my wife's credit card calls as well. Most of the time, the waiver is done via automated phone banking system, so you don't even need to talk to anyone.

In the event that you need to speak with a CSO, you can just tell him that you're calling on behalf of your wife, hand it to your wife to do some verification, then have her hand it back to you to do whatever transactions required.

There was one telco I paid via their app which I got the rebate... rest via the website...

Then the cso tell me app (grab) not eligible... So I think best is just pay via website for your bill payments
