I still use this for my online transactions that are less than $5. Don’t want to use dbs woman.

Does you know you start getting ×9 DBS points with $0.56 online spending?

9x 0.56/8 = 1.008 (round down to 1 DBS points)

Hi there,

I actually sign up for the spree card ytd.

Just want to verify:

  • 60 dollar cashback per month at the end of month?
  • 2% cashback for local purchase at fairprice for the first $200 per month?
  • 3% cashback for online purchase, excluding phone bill? Anymore?
  • 100$ cashback for the first signup?

- cashback cap is $60 per month
- 2% cashback for local paywave/mobile payment and online. There is no cap at fairprice other than the $60 cashback per month. Paywave can be tapped $200 each time but no stopping from tapping multiple times.
- 3% is for foreign online (not local). No point cos 3.5% forex fees will be incurred resulting in a loss.
- Should be $120 cashback for new sign up and make 5 mobile transactions.

Npt sure where u get all these misconceptions. Everything clearly stated in the official website.

Incurring a lost?
Does it mean that if I used DBS and POSB debit card it will automatically incur a lost as well?

+1 to the CIMB Card

You only pay 1% charges.

For other cards, they might promise 2-3% Cashback but will charge you 3-4% of Forex and and Admin charges.

The CIMB Card was first brought to my attention by BBCwatcher.

Ironically, this card has now become my “ go to” card for Internet purchases in Foreign Currency after the OCBC Frank, SCB SingPost and DBS LIVE FRESH cards were nerfed.

1) BoC Qoo10 world mastercard(5% rebate in the form of qmoney, no cap till dec 2018, need min $600 monthly spend, 2.5% forex fees)

2) ICBC Global Travel Mastercard (3% rebate, no cap, no min spend required, 2.5% forex fees)

3) CIMB Visa Signature (10% rebate on foreign online capped at $60, need min 8*$30 transactions and min $500 monthly spend, nett 1% forex fees)

Just go the spree card and the cashback unlimited card.
- There are ATM5 however, there is a 6 percent cash advance fee with a 0.02% interest rate
- Giro form was not attached on the mailer
- Just tried the SC Mobile App and the Good Life app(require a lot of high value purchase like $250)
- Just added my card to the Google Pay for easy reference
- Hope that the $100 + $20 will be useful within the next 30 to 60 days
- Going to use the 'SCB20B' promotion code while spending.

From SCB:
In addition, all foreign currency transactions (including overseas and online transactions) charged to Visa / Mastercard cards will be subject to: (i) a prevailing charge of 1% of the converted Singapore Dollar amount representing the charge imposed by Visa / Mastercard on the transaction; and (ii) a prevailing fee of 2.5% of the converted Singapore Dollars amount.
If this 1% is imposed by Visa/MC and not the bank, how come ICBC does not mention this 1%? CIMB also has this 1% while waiving the other 2.5%.

Looks good, but the 8*$30 requirement is such a hassle.

The effective fees for all banks will include the 1% imposed by Visa/Masters etc and fees charged by the bank itself. In writing, some banks separate the two, some banks don't separate and just state the effective fees. Doesn't really matter whether separate in writing or not, ultimately just need to know what is the effective fees.
