Groupon did a change in their transaction code somewhere in September, hence there's a problem identifying it as an online transaction. You just need to call up Stand Chart and explain it nicely over the phone to the CS officer; he will put up a form for you to have the differences in cash back added. Tried that before even for the most recent bill.

i'm thinking of purchasing something via paypal that is an installment / recurring charges. will this entitle me to the 7% cashback? it says in tnc that:
For any new transaction payable by monthly instalment payments, if you charge the total amount in respect of such transaction to your SingPost Card within a particular month where such total amount is successfully converted to monthly instalments:
at the point of sale by a participating merchant, the monthly instalment amount (and not the total amount charged):

could be that the grocery online store transaction was classified as grocery (which they give 2%), try calling in and request them to check, SCB agents have been pretty helpful with my requests to validate transactions so far
I haven't use the card for honestbee purchase before coz I am thinking they might classify it as grocery shopping. Haven't tried calling in before but their cso via ibanking is really lousy. They simply copy and paste without even reading questions.

Was charged for annual fees and tried to request for waiver through the automated self help and was rejected. Called in and the cso said rejected and I just happened to see from http://www.singpost.com/financial-services/singpost-platinum-visa-credit-card.html#Interest that I can get waiver with $5000 spent. We spent $800+ every mth.
Anyone encounter this? Or is SC hard to request for annual fee waiver? Really upset coz it's the best card for me now and I forgot abt the annual fee and already charged $500 to this card this month. If cancel I'll forgo the 7% on this $500 and also my $16 shake ang bao bonus. =(

try email/message them thrg internet banking. i once did and explain how upset i was being big spender and yet cannot get waiver, i cancel the card and wrote them email. they called me and offer to reinstate the card for me. if this does not work, just cancel, not worth to pay the annual fee since dunno when will the 7% promo end
I just sent an ib msg to them with the link from SingPost. Really hope they will honour the terms there and waive off the annual fee. This is the best card for online purchase for me.

It's 20 working days, so more like a month...
OMG, still thinking of getting the cashback then cancel the card if they still refused to waive the annual fee.
After getting in touch with the CSOs, we were told that we need to spend $5000 in order to get the waiver but we already spent almost $10k. The CSO calculated and indeed we spent more than $5k and proceeded with the waiver. However, received the reply in the ibanking on the first day enquiring if the information for $5000 spent for card waiver is true. And the reply was that it is up to the bank and out of 'goodwill', they have waived it off for this year.
So which story is true? They waived off because we spent the min $5000 or because of goodwill? Anyone has their side of story to share? I don't want to go through this same rubbish again next year coz it's my hb's card and he hates calling in.
