Hi there,

I toke loan from Maybank. I toke a loan of 170k but remember it's excluding interest rate pay within 15 years.
In total I paid around 200k back to the bank within 2 years with just bread and milk.

If you spend on branded than it will take up to 5 to 8 years. I do have colleagues unfortunately fall into this.

How did you manage to pay back 200k in 2 years :O
didn't you say the starting pay was just basic pay?

kinda confused with the structure haha

From JFO to CPT takes around 6 years of you are willing to take extra flights. But due to covid it's tough now for all pilots

During my time when I toke the loan, the bank offers were attractive.

For the first year I do not have to pay anything till the 2nd year of course with higher interest rate.

How I pay off?

I sold my car during my first year. Sold my car for around 80k.

Used up all my savings of 40k.

The remaining of 80k, I saved up from flying.
Basically it's bread and milk for dinner and breakfast.

Hi all! Congrats to those attending the AC! I'm in the 2.45pm slot, I think. I couldn't make it for the 8.45am slot and requested for another timing. After replying to them that I only can make it for the 2.45pm slot, there wasn't any email or confirmation from them. @malcolmloclam @TypicalMat did they reply you to confirm your 2.45pm slot?

Why need to pay? SIA recruit Malaysian paying then $1900 per month allowance while on training but with bond after completion.

Because scoot is consider as LCC.

While SIA is consider as Service Airline.

2 different categories.

Majority of LCC cadets will have to pay for their own school fees it both comes with bonds.
