That does seem quite cheap! Wowow but like I have mentioned - good for sequential, not so much on randomness.

SanDisk Extreme - Extreme Plus
SanDisk Ultra (48M) is also good. Not sure about the new 80M yet as haven't test

Samsung Evo, I just collected a couple from Samsung... All of them the colour different shade of orange... Don't know what is going on. lol

Nope. We didn't review it because we couldn't get our hands on it. But based on the specifications give by Samsung, don't even put your hopes high for it.


You can consider getting SanDisk, Lexar instead. Or maybe Strontium; depends on your needs.

Nope. Only tried the nitro plus variant

Bought Samsung Evo+ 64GB microsdxc card recently, got it tested out and here are some of my own card's results.

The testing methodology is somewhat similar to TS (and his team?).

Not too shabby though, since my last card was a mere Class 4 Kingston microsdhc. But yeah, definitely not for high bitrate or 4K videos which I probably won't do on my phone.

P.S. If this testing not allowed in this thread, let me know.

Similar but not same as software is different liaos. But still, it reinforces my point for usage it would suck (based on RRP to rivals). Just from the results alone, it seems clearly that the performance isn't as constant as that of SanDisk (for example).

Reviewed (Follow up) : Strontium Nitro Plus UHS-3 microSD (64GB)

Last month, we showcased and added a new card to our benchmark – the Strontium Nitro Plus UHS-3 microSD card. We benchmarked it on our standard USB 3.0 platform but the packaging did come with a USB 2.0 microSD – USB adaptor and today, we are going to give it a good test. So let us check it out!

Conclusion
Overall, as we seen, the performance of the card, in the supplied USB 2.0 microSD adapter, is badly throttled. It is indeed a pity that they only gave a USB 2.0 adapter considering the potential of the card. However, there is not much to complain here with regards to the card reader, considering that its performance is pretty similar to other USB 2.0 card readers. Here are the key results:

READ – 20863 KB/s
WRITE – 17265 KB/s

Whilst it is nice to have additional accessories for the card, it would definitely be nice to have on that does not hold the true potential of the card back. However, as a standard card reader, it sure works well for its job.
