What you are doing is simply inviting more hatred.
What you should do is to condemn the actions of that Saudi man.
The Saudi man, Muslim or not, and his deplorable actions should be duly investigated, sent to trial and punished but anyone with half a brain can see the comments inside that equally deplorable thread, are mocking and passing utterly sarcastic remarks about Islam and Muslims.
It is funny that some atheists will keep on ridiculing religions and people's beliefs of God/gods in religion-related threads but they did not mention anything about people praying to statues in this instance, and compare it to science and mocking it.
Some people preach about not needing religion to have good morals but evidently disrespecting others' choices to believe, mocking and making sweeping statements, generalizations and sarcastic remarks condemning others' religious beliefs etc. is ok by them.
No one's forcing religion down their throats, no one says you cannot be an atheist but some seem very eager to 'evangelize' their atheism and attack religions (although only a few selected religions, that is).
