Btw, just compared the flats availability for TP GL with other projects in sept bto, seems like work will be starting soon on TP GL (mostly snapped up). Any idea how do we check when will work begin for btos? :o

You can just check on gebiz. Greenlace is Tampines Neighbourhood 8 Contract 30. The tender is expected to close on the 14th December 2012. Note that this date can be extended a few times. It was originally 30th November 2012. After it closes it will typically take 1 to 2 months for them to award the contract. My guess is they will start construction around mid Feb 2013.

I know of 3 teacher friends who applied for BTO. All 3 got double digit queue numbers.

i am always curious whether teachers always get good queue numbers.

Any teachers here? What queue number you got?=:p

Hmm, may be...?

I'm a teacher and I had a double digit queue no too, although we attributed it to us applying for the MCPS (hope it's the correct acronym-the near parents one) as well.

Sorry, that means we still can get the grant but will be given to me only?

You should be getting half the subsidy.

Please note that HDB will withhold $10,000 of the housing subsidies enjoyed by SC/SPR households when they buy a flat. The withheld subsidy will be restored when the SC/SPR household converts to an SC/SC household by (i) the SPR family member taking up citizenship or (ii) having an SC child.

last time when i asked in forums, the info collected is:

AHG to pay for the flat only. which means for downpayment of flat and if any left, pay for the flat to get lower amt of housing loan. not used for other misc fees.

but my question is, AHG goes into our CPF. misc fees can be paid with cpf. so doesnt means it means paying with AHG as well? this part i not sure. anybody help?:s11:

thanks babe, but i dont think AHG goes into our cpf..? :s11: it's just some grant to help reduce the amt..

AHG is credited to your CPF. But it can only be use to offset your flat purchase. Misc fees like stamp duty and legal fees will have to be covered by your own CPF OA.

oh sorry, just read this.. so AHG does get credited back to our cpf? :S btw, im guessing that bf and I are only entitled to 5k AHG...

The signboard on the site has already been removed, however no signs of work in progress yet. so can only cross finger.. :s22::s22:

Actually I'm hoping that the building works wouldn't be so fast and that completion would take longer... :s13:

Hmm.. from what I understand from the cso that time, when the AHG is approved, it will be credited to u and ur bf cpf account, so assuming that u get 5k, 2.5k will be credited to each of ur CPF OA account. Just my 5 cents... :)

Same!! Haha.. can get to save more and reduce the total loan amount.. haha..

hi can i just check, for the total loan amount, if i decide to borrow $300K initially when i applied for the HLE. if let say i manage to stock up on my OA account while waiting for the flat to be completed, can i use the OA account to reduce the loan amount to say ~$280K, 5 years later when the flat is completed? i understand the first 5% will be paid up when you sign the lease or sth.

Hmm.. before u can take a hdb loan u will have to use up completely on urs and ur fiance's cpf oa account. Therefore, during the handing of keys, all the OA balance will be used to reduce the loan amount before u can apply for the loan.. hope this help..

Edit: during the handing of keys, if u are eligible for the staggered downpayment then u have to pay the 5% downpayment and the remaining amount in both of ur OA account will be used to reduce the total amount before u can be approved for hdb loan.. :)

oic thanks! can i choose to keep a certain amount in the OA, e.g. 20K? i read that there will be 4% interest rates for the first 20K in OA. so the loan amount is only decided when the keys are handed to me which is ~5 years later?
