What I mean is you can hack down that kitchen wall since it's not a structural wall. But of cuz it comes with a cost. Feel that HDB should make the kitchen wall optional instead that nowadays some ppl prefer open-concept kitchen.

By the way, the floorplan is perfect for open-concept kitchen you might want to consider. It will help make your flat look more spacious. Just my 2 cents.

open concept only Teck Ghee have the unit but all the living hall window face north .

Base on the floor plan, the following would be the actual dimension.

By the way, what is the thing behind the main door on the left side after you open the door? protruding section of the wall?

Could it be DB (Distribution board).:o

just checked the HLE updates and application is approved. would like to know, how do i calculate the monthly instalment? take purchase price (incld ocs) x 90% (after 10% downpayment) and then x the number of years loan right?
any other additional $ to be included? what about interest?

is this loan calculator useful and accurate? http://services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BB29MTHLY/BB29SMTHLY

also, the HLE expiry is next yr march 2013, but im afraid before signing of lease agreement (4 mths from selection which is march 2013), the HLE will expire.. but hdb would do the necessary, i.e. extend the expiry date, right? :o

Yes, they would extend the expiry when u guys havent gotten the signing of lease of agreement, but just to make sure, u could drop them a email beforehand to request for the extention before ur expiry date in case they forget.. for the loan, I guess u could use that for reference? Cos in the end if u taking hdb loan, the whole loan amount might be be revised cause u need to empty u and ur fiancé's cpf OA account before getting the loan.. just my 2cents. ;)

thanks for ur input. spoke to the hdb officer who mentioned that the calculator can be used as a rough estimation for now. also told her that my bf will be switching job next feb as she mentioned that the extension of HLE will be approved if there is no change in employment. but she said since it's gonna be an increment in salary, then lesser problems for extending. she also did mention that the signing of lease agreement for our TPGL would be around march/apr next yr and told me to just drop an email to them to request for extension if the HLE really expires before the signing of lease agreement. shouldn't be much of an issue.. =:p

I am surprised Tampines Greenlace is the only estate that is fully taken up, Could it be attributed to the smaller development? I have secured a 5 rm flat there haha quite glad.

Yes, I guess that could be the main reason. Only 380 units consisting of both 4 and 5-rms plus 16th floor is the highest.

I see,that's good, haha, high floor? I secured a 4 rm flat on the 16th floor :)

Not everyone, especially not for young couples (or just a handful of us?) since it would mean to pay earlier, ROM and hold customary wedding earlier... which only means more $$$ flying off earlier.
