I applied for the Teck Ghee parkview 5 rms and were now given the option to select the leftovers, 4th floor being the 'highest'. We r disappointed cos we have been eyeing for the higher levels.
Would u all considering buying a flat at a good location but at v low levels?

Unless the location is to-die for. If its just AMK just pass it n wait for next BTO ☺

Depends on how low. I won't take 2nd floor. 3rd and 4th floor can consider if you really like the location, but must see what the units are facing. If they are facing the MSCP or busy road etc, then also won't consider. However I see that the units in question either face the neighbourhood park (but morning sun) or playground/fitness station. It terms of immediate location then it might be acceptable. In terms of general location, personally I would probably only accept if it was walking distance (5 - 10 minutes) to an MRT station as such locations are rare.

Cos if i not wrong, our AHG will only be processed after the tender have been approved or confirm.

Oh really? I'd checked with my officer in charge last week and she told me that 'We are currently assessing your application for the Additional CPF Housing Grant and will let you know the outcome in about 3 weeks via letter.'

Oh really? I'd checked with my officer in charge last week and she told me that 'We are currently assessing your application for the Additional CPF Housing Grant and will let you know the outcome in about 3 weeks via letter.'

Actually you can do a rough est. on ur part.. when i selected the unit, the officer told us would most prob get which amt judging from the income slips submitted..haha, but still hoping for more although low chances..

mine is because sc/spr hsehold.. the officer told us subjected to approval. She wasnt really sure about it..

not so sure about the nationality issue, but ahg grant is subjected to approval and even for 2 SCs, it would take some time.. so don't worry. at the most, make sure you both have sufficient cpf as of now or perhaps in time to come May/April. If not, do have a contingency plan which is to prepare those cash $$.

also, i was told that AHG $$ cannot be used to pay stamp fees and misc fees, only purchase price of the flat.

can anyone confirm this?

AHG can only be used to pay for the flat including the 5% downpayment probably coming in april, but can be used for the stamp fee and such.. haha.. for now, cpf sufficient to pay off the 5% but with the ahg it will help alot. Haha..

If you are buying the flat with a bank loan, the AHG will be treated as part of your CPF money. It can only be used to pay the CPF portion of the initial payment towards the purchase of the flat or to reduce the mortgage loan.
