What you need to look at is Estimated Completion Date instead of Delivery Possession Date..

Flats usually ready to move in 3-8 months before ECD..And it would be updated as construction progresses..

DPD is the contract terms between you and HDB..Whereby HDB must by this date have the flat ready for you..If not would be a breach of contract..

Since $2000 option fee is payable after u booked a unit during the 1st appt..How can u fail to get a flat?

Unless of cos you choose to give up after the 1st appt then yea, it would be forfeited..

ohh...sorry i dont really know the process. so if you apply online and you dont get anything, you dont pay anything hor? only when you confirm get a unit then you pay the $2,000 and subsequently the downpayment?

Yup...

The only thing u pay during applicable is an applicable fee of $10 which of cos is not refundable if you dont get a good ballot results.

After you get ur application results and an invitation for a appt then the rest will come into play..

1st Appt - Pay option fees of $1k for 3rm and below or $2k for 4rm and above as booking fees..Submit documents for grants and HLE.

2nd Appt - After grants and HLe has been approved then 2nd appt comes in, 5% Staggered DP if one applicant is under the age of 30 at time of applicable or 10% DP if not eligible for staggered. Option fees would be refund if you have enough O/A monies for the DP and whats not.

lol now i know why all so high application rate. got so many people just anyhow hoot one, whether can afford etc or do not do some basic research before even thinking of applying.

They announce for so long already the locations, dont tell me only today then start finding out all the answers to the important questions.
