Sorry may I know what are stamp fees? Does it count towards the sum paid for the flat?

I forsee me and my BF will have stable income plus consistent salary increment for the next 5 years and so on, will it be safe to take this BTO? (He is army regular)

HDB finances say that $6.2K is the minimum amount to be able to afford this comfortably but currently we are short of the $6.2K by a little. We have enough CPF and cash to pay for the first down payments and the fees that Gixxerfield listed. Safe bet or not ah?

Stamps fees is not counted towards sum paid..

Dont use HDB provided estimation as a gauge.. It's always safer to use the pay u both have now for future calculation/estimation..Anything more is a bonus..

Hi guys. Got a stupid question here.they said that down payment for hdb loan is 10% The maximum loan I can get is about $350,000 and the flat I wanna buy is 460,000. So there is an outstanding of $110,000 So is my down payment $110,000 or 10% of 460,000 ($46,000)?

Downpayment is of total flat selling price and not short fall = $46k

Selling Price = $460k
10% DP = $46k
Remaining Price = $414k
HLE = $350k
Shortfall = $64k(This amount will be different since they will wipe out both ur CPF first and see the remaining amount of flat vs HLE)

Take note 2nd HLE assessment to be done when nearer to key collection.

Thanks heaps Gixxerfied, so I guess we will only have to worry about the shortfall before we collect the key? Since second round of the HLE might actually cover off the shortfall. As for now just worry on the 10%DP

yupz, no grant. they take it that if you can go for mature estate, means you can afford it...
