hi,

no matter which method i use, it keeps asking me to log in.
When i try the default "Administrator" and blank password, it seems to be wrong.

Please help....

tried hard reset, soft reset, nothing seems to be working... unless i did the hard reset wrongly... which i dun think so as i held the reset button down for a long time until the powere light turns red.

when the MioTV installer came down the other day, he flash/patch/upgrade (???) my modem, saying its to enable MioTV for the modem.... could that be the problem

tats bad, lolx, cos I remember newer version firmware seems to be admin as I refer to this thread while upgrading. http://forums.hardwarezone.com/showthread.php?t=1619875 . Anyway, u also can't login to the web interface rite http://192.168.1.254 ?

web interface can... cos it's using a "user" account is some power user role only, not administrator role

then from there wat is ur firmware version? tats seems weird too, or u did not do a hard reset correctly or the reset button something wrong. lolx. since u going down to their office, do update us again

I was able to connect the 536 with my 3Com router without setting to bridge. However, my connection gets cut off when I do an upload and am wondering if its coz of this bridge setting.

If you don't set ST536v6 to bridge, you can encounter unpredictable problems like what you're facing.

I am trying to connect the Speedtouch to my linksys WRT54G. and having some problems during the setup where it asked about my serial no which is totally different from what is stated on the modem.. any one with similar problems?

went to thomson today and found out that MioTV installer upgraded my firmware and change my administrator password to the modem's serial number... finally i can access the Administrator account.

So i use the CD to reconfigure my modem to bridge mode and can now successfully use my netgear router to connect to the internet.

However, the MioTV seems to have stop functioning as it reported it cannot connect to host.

Can anyone help?

I also note that the IPTV setting in the modem (when i connect to it directly) was gone after i reconfig to bridge mode.

Because the mioTV STB must have a direct bridge thru connection for itself ma.

i have setup the st536v6 as a single user mode direct by ethernet port to the pc and was surfing net fine for the first day without disconnect but on second day onwards, the DSL signal keeps disconnecting every now and then. I use the st s/w to check the internet connectivity and it always says DSL signal is out of sync. I have since use back the old DSL700 modem and is working fine till now. May i know if it's st536v6 hardware problem or setting problem? Thanks

Actully no nid to change it to bridge,
When u config ur router just set the mode to Automatical DHCP and change the local ip address to "192.168.2.XX" den unplug and plug back the lan cable connect to the router 1st port. Now u can use the router
