Hi, first time going to Shanghai. Any average hotel to recommend to stay? Which location to stay is more convenience?
I intend to travel out of Shanghai too, so minimum how days must i stay in Shanghai?

Not my first time to shanghai but ny first time taking public transport. Didnt go ard shanghai e first time. So this time intend to explore abit.

Do you where is 85 degree cafe/confectionery stores located

there are a couple around the french concession area (near huaihai middle road all the way to ruijin 2nd road)
All shanghai stores here.

tried it and honestly it was nothing amazing... mmm.

If you're in shanghai consider checking out the french concession, tianzifang, jingan villa. review here.

There is a certain fruit that was native to Shanghai (I think). Can't remember what it's called but it's some kind of red colored berry. Tried it, was ok.

Xujiahui has one, directly above Xujiahui Subway station

You may need to know the price beforehand.

My chinese colleagues told me that you should be prepared that you might not be getting a brand new set.

The sellers might have taken it out and play when buying from such retailers.

Seconding 小杨生煎! I was in Shanghai for only about 10 hours for a transit, so I went there for dinner. The 生煎包 is so delicious!!! I wish I could bring dozens of boxes back to Singapore...

Yes its nice but very very oily. I spilled some of the gravy on my t shirt and it hardened and left a rather gross stain. I still like the 生煎包 though!

Anyone can recomend a nice, decent, budget hotel in Nanjing Rd?
I stayed in The Bund Riverside previously, it was about S$150 per night, okay but located in a quiet corner. i am looking for a more centerally located hotel if possible.

Hi, just wonder if anyone tried taking the midnite shuttle bus from Hangzhou to Shanghai.. can share experience?

I would try a different method on each leg, so I can visit both KL and Hangzhou. Haha.

You can try take the High Speed Train between Hangzhou and Shanghai. Takes about 50 mins, depending on the train type and schedule.
