I know that the water will be more silky smooth if longer exposure of few secs or more.
So why try so hard to handheld with restriction of aperture and risk of blurry pics?
Using a tripod will solve these issue. Tripod + ND filter is the way to go. :)

keke, has not invested on a tripod yet.

in fact i'm looking for a monopod, any value for money one?

Dun monopod lah, tripod if u want long exposure, also monopod is not useful for night shots too.
However monopod is useful for telephoto lens. ;)

Agree with this.. might as well get a CF tripod that's gonna be much more useful
some can even detach one of the legs to form a monopod!

tripod.. then i must go find a big bag... :)

u dun need big bags... buy a compact traveler tripod.

one thing about tripod, dun get a tripod that is too heavy else u confirm wun use it often.
