How's your experience using the R9 so far?? Any mid term reviews??
Actually mine was pretty positive.

Smooth and clean OS. Battery life is very impressive considering only 5000mah. I'm 3 days off charger, Abt 3.5 to 4 hours sot, dropped from 90 to 42 percent now... I'm on 5G whole of today

And I like the fact that I can get the display size and font size to be very small :s13:

Not much complaints for me. Am not really a camera person though. I bought it for the clean OS, and the pricing. Much better buy then nothing phone 3A at the 400 price point. Overall specs is way better on Sharp R9.

Randomly snap this one day when I realize the sky looks beautiful

Also, there are another feature that I like which is to charge the phone only when screen is off. Makes me wonder why other OEMs doesn't have it. However, i do hope they add a double tap to lock screen option though. Now i have to achieve that via a 3rd party app. I still prefer using the features OOTB compared to installing another app just for this purpose

Anyways, pull your trigger fast if you want to buy, they are clearing the last batch of stocks already.

Yup your reviews were quite all over the place and dated sometime back lol.. tho understand that there's not much updates ...
Yup, the slow Android security updates is probably the main con.
That is despite the clean Android build (Sharp has minimum customisation so it should be easier for them to issue updates ).

Main shooter can take good photos in good lighting or in warm orangish lighting. Colors can be quite inaccurate (Red becomes orange 😅).

Maybe manual mode will fare better.
There is no Macro mode like with the R9 Pro, the Sense 9 or the R10.
The minimal focal length is quite long, so it is hard to take good macro shots.
Video recording stabilisation is poor.

In contrast, the Ultrawide & Selfie camera are pretty good ( usually phones cut down on one of these 2 cameras).

I sometimes get pocket dials in my pocket, but that could be partially be me.
I perspire a lot & the moisture may trigger the touchscreen unnecessarily.

The 5000mah battery can easy last you a whole day on a 90% charge though this will drop as you install more apps that run in the background.

What's ur manufacturing date for ur r9? The box got state

Cannot claim warranty?
Will attempt to claim warranty later this year before my warranty runs out (can't remember if it is 1 or 2 years warranty).
It does not seem to affect the camera, maybe affects glare reduction to a certain extent.
Just a bit of an eyesore when view at certain angles.
For the manufacturing date, I will check when I am back home.

If they do repair on spot & I don't have to data wipe my phone it's fine.
If I have to leave my phone with them for a few days, then likely have to wipe 😅

Do you guys find the screen color temperature to your liking? I find Sharp phones to have a rather warm color by default. Even on the new R10 demo unit that i tried in stores. For example, Red colors look like Maroon to me. I have to specifically set the color temp to cold, and make sure relax view is never turned on. But still, i can sometimes notice the color temp jump around when switching between apps.

Btw, for R9, it's one physical sim + one e-sim?

Also, is it possible to have 2 sim with the sd card?

i have turned off screen color temperature, display screen color settings set as Dynamic.

nope, it is one physical sim and one e-sim

the sim card tray only has 1 physical sim slot and a msd card slot.

Telephoto is only for higher end phones. Don't think you can get any phone below $500 with telephoto.
