The phone is very fast and snappy. Not much bloat ware. Too bad no 5 years of Android OS updates. :(

Been using this Aquos R8s pro for weeks.

Share some of my thoughts about this phone:

What I like about this phone:
+ With 3.5mm Jack the sound quality is really good even with normal earphone.
+ The interface is clean, no bloatware found except for My Aquos which only available in Japanese language.
+ Like the way we can set fps for different apps.
+ The screen can go really dim at night without lights on.
+ expandable storage plus 1 physical sim and 1 esim.

What I wish they could do better:
- Leica missing in this phone, there is no Leica watermark available in camera.
- The screen looks pretty yellowish, and washed out compare to google and Samsung phone.
- The image quality Basic setting doesnt really help to boost the screen saturation.
- Very weak vibration(No way to adjust the strength)

Be prepare if you going to switch to this phone:
- It's a pain switching from Samsung to this phone, I wish Sharp would have an apps which similar to Samsung smart switch. Although Google itself already help to transfer most of the apps and datas to this phone. Still there are things that I still have to transfer manually.
- Basic apps such as voice recorder missing.
- Extremely little info or posts about this phone , basically you might not able to find any helpful info if you experience any problems on this phone.

Hi. Thank you for your review.

R8s Pro uses ultrasonic fingerprint reader. Do you face any problem with using glass screen protector? Or using without? Thanks in advance for your comments.

For R8s Pro users, what is the SIM card situation like?
I'm seeing some conflicting information online. Some say it is dual sim + micro sd + e-sim.

Can anyone confirm? Especially on the e-sim portion

Is this price, too good to be true?

Most other vendors are still selling at 4++
I dunno... I never bought anything from that seller before. Now the official seller Sharp themselves are offering it at a Tech Show price of $399 on Lazada.

I don't know is it because of not use to the fingerprint setting or what. The fingerprint on this phone not that reliable. I would really appreciate if anyone could share their tips to me.

Received June 1 security update this week for my Aquos Sense8.
Was previously on March 1 security update.
Not sure about the R series, but at least on the mid ranged Sense , one can expect Android security upgrades every 3-4 months as Sharp is using quarterly upgrade cadence.
That is not good.
Which Android phone has more frequent updates? Samsung is also quarterly, isn’t it?
