Ya. I got my Sense 10 for $426 last night with shipping. It should still be avail for purchase today around $430 with the right vouchers. Go for the Sense 10 if you want a small and light phone with stock android experience, and also the long battery life. The cameras are above average but nothing to shout about.

My R9 screen died after dropping from chest level onto concrete pavement.
Have a hardened back case on.
No visible damage, maybe something loose or broken internally.
Out of warranty & probably not worth to repair.

I switched to a Vivo X200 Mini Pro.
Kind of preferred Sharp's vanilla Android OS but tbh, the side fingerprint 🫆 reader is a con.
It makes fingerprint authentication with one hand on the phone very difficult to pull off.
Photography wise, the R9 can't even compete, then again they are not in the same price tier.

Given that the R9 gets praise for it's photography, I'm curious about the photography aspect of the R9 vs the X200 mini pro.

how would you quantify the difference? and which do you prefer?

Thanks.

I can only comment on R9 auto photography mode (since I don't use manual mode).

The R9 can take some good photos with nice colors (especially of food).
However in some circumstances, the captured color can be quite off from what you see (eg: red becomes orange).
I think this is why Sharp added a color spectrum sensor to the R10

Macro is poor as the minimum distance is quite long (maybe need manual mode for it?)
It can take a bit of time to post processing night photos after a shot is capture.
Video stabilisation is poor.

I think the main advantage of the R9 over the X200Pro mini is that it has a better selfie camera with AF.
It's ultra wide camera is quite good as well.
The main camera on the R9 is simply not comparable to the Vivo 's main camera in any sense.
Low light on the Vivo is much better, thanks to a bigger sensor & likely better photography algorithms.

Buy Sharp for close to vanilla Android OS.

Sharp is generally behind the competition in photography (at least on auto mode that most consumers use).

The sharp OS is not good. The app drawer doesn't auto arrange the apps according to alphabet. You got to use launcher if you want that. The R9 finger print is bad too ..

u bought the x200 pro mini at a much cheaper price than x300?? if so then probably worth it ba...
As the x200 series was not sold in Singapore, mine is a set from China.
Better get Vivo phones with International Funtouch OS instead of China Origin OS.

Origin has a lot of China domestic apps integrated instead of the usual Google ecosystem apps.
You can still install Google Play & apps but it takes a bit to get used to Origin OS.

Definitely worth it as it was less than S$900.

Yes, the fingerprint 🫆 reader placement is inconvenient.

For the app drawer, the search bar is good enough to bring up the app which you need.
