short trip getaway

hello,

Realized there isnt' any thread that share ideas of short getaways.

as you aware, 2018 got many getaway opportunities, hence i'm seeking for ideas.

Bangkok and malaysia is my yearly regime, hence this is out.

where else is interesting?
We are ok, enjoyed shopping, scenery, relax etc

my concern is communication and safety, i'm going with my wife hence *you know what to expect*, i can't leave her alone.

good thinking, airasia having some promo, hence i thought of arranging a short getaway in this year.

check out the main airlines too...
we jus came back from Dubai on SQ promo return fare of $500+ per pax. 7hr flight!
bought last Aug i think.

so far, i dont think there's any promo with the main airline.

i think Dubai is out of my league, was told it's costly?

if you can actually anticipate, we bought our BKK trip with SQ for $300+ if i'm not wrong.

Bali is a good short getaway. Prices might have dipped due to the volcano last year.

Hong Kong is a good place too. Quite safe and prices are reasonable. Food is fantastic. Can go hiking there too.

yes, Bali seems nice.

i know their food and transportation is kinda costly or even exceed sg.

Yup, let me know if you need recommendation on Bali accommodation and drivers. Bali have a few big areas; Kuta, Nusa dua, uluwantu, seminyak etc. You can also do 2N Kuta + 2N somewhere else. I know there is a island - Lombok nearby Bali which is less tourist and lower cost. I have not been there before and am not sure how to get there.

HK - other than accommodation and food, there is hiking too. There are certain mountains that are really beautiful. The Geopark at Saikung is also very nice. Go during cooler weather, you will enjoy more.

thank you for sharing, tentatively the travel period will be in Nov, deepavali period, for only 4D3N.

question, how do you make your way to telunas resort?

desaru is out, boring place.. stay at lotus desaru, nothing much.
suit family oriented or young couple/newly wed
same goes for port dickson
