Earlier this year, i had a trip to Laos , Luang prabang. 4 days 3 night.

beautiful place. inexpensive. along mekong river.

took laos airline, comfortable and smooth ride, just that the terminal is messy as they are doing major upgrading. the rest is fine.

What was the route you took and how much did you pay for tickets?

The only non-stop flight from Singapore to LQP is via SilkAir and they charge $400 - 4x the price I am willing to pay.

Planning a trip in mid May for 5D4N.
Was looking at Boracay and read that they are doing major cleanup and have uncertainties if island gonna close from Jun - Sep.
Decided not to proceed.

How is Bali now? Are tourists going back there aldy?
Safe to visit?
Else, another destination will be Khao Yai + BKK

sorry for the late reply. i booked laos airline, around 223 per pax. from sg to Vientiane (stop over) and to luang prabang. round trip.

flight was on time, all is fine good

but otw back, we took thai airlines due to Vientiane > SG flight too little people taking, so outsource to bangkok airline, so its luang prabang > bangkok(stop over) and back to sg. transit duration 1.5hrs(just nice to have some tomyam at airport) :s13:

and they inform me via email 1 month before departure date about the changes.

Consider Solo and Yogykarta. Or Mt Bromo via Surabaya.

been looking at jogja and solo for some time. unfortunately only air asia flies direct to jogja and the ticket price is $300ish. beside that, the return flight is early in the morning. i could do transfer at cgk, but indonesian domestic flights can be crazy and unreliable. still couldn't justify the price or the travel time overhead for a short trip over the weekend.
