anybody had trouble with the email app after rooting? I'm always encountering forced close errors.
Knox status once tripped, there is no way to un-tripped it.Once we rooted and say if knox counter has not been tripped, how to go back to stock? Just flash back the same firmware to unroot? Or what if knox counter has been tripped, can go back to stock untripped status by flashing original firmware?
I believe knox warranty tripping is samsung bullcrap to reserve the right to void warranty. And there was a xda forumer sent his knox tripped to service center and the phone is reset to 0x0 so at present only samsung has the device/sw to reset the knox counter. The CSC/AP is same as stock so I assumed can simply permanent unroot using supersu and the status will be official after reboot. Haven't try it yself yet.
I suspect Samsung most likely change the mainboard with a new efused rom thus the counter when back to 0x0.I believe knox warranty tripping is samsung bullcrap to reserve the right to void warranty. This is good news.Imei will be changed when motherboard is replaced..
Imei was the same :Knox is a software trigger and can be reset ! - xda-developers
flashing a new rom will erase your settings. you need to freeze all your bloatware again if your new rom carries some apps you dnt need.
hmm... what about those apps that I have removed?
like let's say I flash to a BTU MJ7... then would all those things like S Finder, etc come back? (I uninstalled them via Titanium Backup)
EDIT: can someone point me to a good way to backup my Android phone?
I have exported my Contacts to extSD... I don't use Google Contacts Sync
How do I backup my WhatsApp, LINE, BBM Chat History and SMS?
How do I backup my Downloads, Photos, etc?
How does Titanium Backup factor in the whole equation? I've been using it only to freeze and debloat... lol (do I use it to just save app data?)
What do you guys use for Custom Recovery? TWRP or CWM?
have you frozen the my magazine apps in TB? unfreeze this apps and try again.![]()
good advice!!! it works!! thanks!
This is also one of the reason why it is advisable not to delete the apps we thought as bloatwares in TB as this may have some effects on other apps were using unless were very sure of what this bloatware do and we don't need it.
Like what I said, if you flash a new ROM whether its official or custom, it will wipe away all your settings and start as fresh. If the new Rom still got bloatwares you will get them again even if you already deleted them in your previous ROM.
How do I backup my WhatsApp, LINE, BBM Chat History and SMS? – for whatapp its already doing its own back up every 3 or 4am, for SMS back up, I use SMS Back up and Restore, you can check for it in Playstore. I don’t use BBM and Line so have no idea.
How do I backup my Downloads, Photos, etc? – what do you mean downloads? Photos and Music you can just copy it to your PC and restore if you changed phone or MC.
How does Titanium Backup factor in the whole equation? I've been using it only to freeze and debloat... lol (do I use it to just save app data?) – I’m also using TB to freeze and uninstall bloatwares, aside from doing the scheduled back up of new apps and data.
What do you guys use for Custom Recovery? TWRP or CWM? – I’ve been using the CWM since the S2 days and I am more confident using it. TWRP is a new player with a heavy make up, but also doing the same things that CWM did. I’d like to keep it simple![]()
