I maybe worrying too early, but I was reading about the recent announcement of Singtel activating VoLTE from 31 May with Starhub and M1 launching similar services soon as well -- Note 3 was the only supported device, but it requires an update. I am wondering whether we non-stock users can use VoLTE ... which presumably, we won't be receiving the update from Singtel.

Why not. Still 4.4.2. But will trip knox and void warranty. Choose lor. After sticking to stock for 3 months, Kinda sick of it.

I'm confused with the procedure to root my note 3. Don't mind guiding me? What is a must to do after rooting other than greenify some apps?

Can root without tripping knox liao. Google Towelrool by geohots. Requirements any kernel built before 3rd June 2014. NE4 is built on 20th March so its definitely supported. Just rooted mine successfully:s13:

Same here! NE4 no tripping but it will show custom instead official. When we flash back to official 1 will it revert back to official? Currently knox not yet tripped but when attempt to do OTA if will show as non official ROM so unable to do the update.

I checked and it showed Official. Unless you flashed a custom ROM.........

i rooted with Towelroot too.

then got greedy and flashed TWRP recovery.

trip knox. but no regrets. can do so much more than non-root/stock recovery.

Once you're free from the knox crap, you'll start flashing tons and tons of stuff. Changed my rom the third time after rooting.
