Sim only plan with 5Gfor iPhone 13pro max

I have turned on the 5G on my iPhone 13PM, but, still unable to receive 5G signal either Jurong or Bedok from Giga service provider. I heard that there’s free 5G services for the first month usage, is there any settings on Giga app I need to activate in order to enjoy the 5G free network?

I am currently enjoy the 1st month free trial 5G services from Giga. But, my area Chai Chee has no 5G coverage, only can receive 5G in Bedok and town area.
Wondering will giga deduct $10 from my account on my next bill.
Do I need to write in to cancel the 5G services?

I was thinking of porting my parents number to GOMO from Singtel during their flash sale of $18 for 70GB, until I find out the promo is only applicable to new numbers and non-Singtel ported lines. Sucks to be Singtel if you want to try out GOMO, they just want you to pay more of their non-contract plans. Instead I ported their number over to TPG senior plan for $5 to try out. If not happy can just go back to GOMO as still be able to enjoy that future promos as a non-Singtel ported number.

You might wanna check/speak to Gomo because last time i spoke to, which is last yr, they told me as long as they issue new sim card, it is consider as new customer and you will get all the promo. I went from singtel > M1 > Gomo > Grid and back to Gomo before settling on Starhub now. My last Gomo i still got all the promo they listed.

You said it, you went to M1/Grid first before going back to GOMO. Yes I did check/speak to their CSO via their live chat on their website.

You just won't enjoy the flash promo if you do a number port directly from an existing Singtel line which I wanted to do. Its also in their FAQ / T n C.

Oh sorry! Then just jump to other telco sim only and jump back to Gomo. If you want the 70GB promo, it's only for the 1st month anyway.

sorry for digging up this old thread, but just wanna ask is 5G necessary for the next 2 yrs? gonna recontract and I'm considering between 4G sim only plan (30% off)+handset full price and 5G 2 yr plan with monthly 30% off. any advices? TIA

30% off for 5G plan is quite ok depending on whether you got extra discount (-$100/200) for recontracting.

when I look at SingTel 5G with 20% CIS and port over discount, not too bad.

my StarHub 20% CIS i pay about $20 for 5G but at 30GB, not too bad.

if i do a 48months calculations for total cost of handset and monthly subscription, they are around the same amount.. so i guess it boils down to if there is a need for 5G from now till 2024?
