Anyone studying at SIM under University of Buffalo or heard before of it?

I am planning to apply for Bachelor of Science (Business Administration) - Full-time under University of Buffalo at SIM.

I am more comfortable with quizzes, presentations, projects, etc rather than uol's style which is like there is only 1 exam.

Any advice?
:)

Lots of quizzes, presentations and projects......

You can comfortably say that you will have at least a quiz every week.

I'm doing soci.

It's quite similar to poly style and you get a lot of waivers if you came from poly/JC.

Some people come straight after O levels so they have to do the full course.

Yup. I hope to get some waivers too, if not the whole course fee will be too ex.

Btw, do u know of any feedback ragarding bachelor of science (business administration) under UOB in SIM?

I wanna apply this course but i am clueless about it. Questions like is there a lot of pple who took up this course (popularity of this course) , are the examinations easier than UOL/RMIT, are the courework, projects, tests hard, etc?

I hope u can share ur thoughts as it is not easy to find someone who is in UOB SIM in this forum. =)
Appreciate

There are actually quite a lot of people doing the Business degree, but definitely lesser compared to RMIT and UOL.

The entire programme is very similar to poly style. I am quite sure you will have no problems coping.

During your first year, you'll be doing some foundational modules which everyone will be doing together, before you progress to your majors.

i got accepted for UB august intake (bachelor of arts - communications), but think i might reject it :'(

received all the forms and saw that the course fees are way too ex. 61k for three years.. if loan from bank, plus all the interest.. i think a lifetime wont be enough for me to pay back. :'(

now bo pian, gotta search for other study alternatives.. but cant find any other suitable sch/ course. sigh.

It's only 61k if you come straight from O levels.

If you come from poly/A-levels, you'll definitely have waivers for certain modules.

Depending on the number of credits for that module, each credit is about $500+.

I got refunded $1500+ for my first sem because I didn't have to take Communications.

hello there!

Hmm. You are right, 61k for 3 years is a lot. Why don't u try UOL/RMIT (but u have to wait until next year for the admission)? Which course are u interested in studying?

If not u can try mdis/psb academy too.

Dont ever give up! :)

ive got an a level cert. but the forms and all they sent me stated 61k in total. and even if refund around 2k, 59k will still be abit too high for me. im afraid that in future, after ive graduated and started working, i wont be able to settle the loans. esp since interest from the banks are so high - average ard 5+%.

UB offers comm studies, which is what i wanted to take. UOL/ RMIT offer mainly biz and marketing courses and im not so keen on that. i suck at math and i dont think i'll be able to do math if theres a need to. and if im not wrong biz courses have a number of math modules? doesnt matter if its simple math, i cant do math for nuts. sigh.

well i was considering curtin, james cook or stansfield. but most offer biz related too.
