Probably cheaper. I've yet to find out also.. Because I am exempted from all my free electives.

if it is 61k sgd, i rather topup abit more to do a 2years degree in australia university. recognition is way better than distance learning degree even though it doesnt has any honour.

just wanna ask, they stated min req is 5 credits at o levels. wad if a person has 4 credits but has a diploma which is in engineering? would he still be accepted? presume he's applying for biz

i think they'll probably consider on a case-by-case basis. no harm trying. you might wanna email or call them to ask them about it also..

ppl A level... no exemptions here. its 3yrs in OZ.
not even sure if one can load up 1 yr worth of classes in holidays and get it done in 2yrs.

not sure if recognition is way better really depends on which school U go to.
the statement seem to say, go Uni SA/ Deakin or what is way better than SIM-UB. its not like when ppl see SIM-UB degree vs any donkey OZ degree they just automatically throw your resume into the trash can.

UB offers comm studies, which is what i wanted to take.

MDIS-OCU and SIM-RMIT do offer Mass Comm, I think its closer to com studies.
UniSIM also offer something. not sure if can apply.

SIM RMIT only offers part-time mass comm. looking for full-time. oh well, i guess if all else fails, i might just go for UOL. not what i want to study, but its probably the best i can get.

Yes i do agree. But then 61k + topup + living expenses in overseas = super expensive.

hi all, im thinking of doing the communications programme there too. well my family might be migrating to canada/usa so i thought i might as well get an american degree. im waiting for my army to end in september after which ill prob go for the Jan intake in 2011. well didnt know about the open house but thanks sapphiree

any one willing to share info on communications at uni at buffalo would be very very appreciated!

U must share that tip. I am sure alot of ppl is interested to know how to do it.
I have not found a easier way beside investing US$1M, teaching with a Phd or a senior/exe manager to get PR.
Canada is easier to get PR, then again job can be hard to come by. its renewable 5yrs. must stay in Canada for 2-3yrs iirc after that can apply for citizenship. with that can go USA to work on VISA renewable every yr.

anyway digress too much liao.
if U're moving maybe in 1-2yrs time maybe look at Cc offering. usually cheaper than Uni not sure if this is the case.
when your family do move, u could transfer to a US/Canadian Uni. there are ppl that did this and moved on to NYU, Mount Holyoke College, UMICh etc

I got accepted for the August intake for a double-degree in Business Admin and Psychology. Is anyone else going to be taking the same course? I did the International Baccalaureate in May this yr, which is like the A Levels, so I wanna know if I get exempted from core modules. Also, I wanna know what kinda GPA is required in order to transfer from here to the States, and like, the procedure and everything.
