Also, usually for first lectures what do we have to bring ah. just notes (if any) and stationery? TIA!

Yeah... Unfortunately I have to agree.. Super bad timing.. They should know the crucial timing is before school starts, and they maintenance just days before.. If your lesson is Monday 8AM, I feel so bad for you.. No notes nothing.
The enrollment also.. The site is not well planned, server can't handle the numbers.. Just waste our time.. Never send us e-mail some more! Lucky we know, if not auto kicked out.
