SIM UOL August 2012 Intake

Uol will mail subject guides to us
Sim lecturer will give us the notes
As for textbook, all those recommended text n stuff are nt provided, can borrow from library I think.. Whether to buy or not is ur call..

I missed the deadline for the 24th orientation but I still went ahead to register for it online.
The email did come in saying slot has been reserved (automated I guess).

How do I confirm if I am in the orientation?

Same here, I just received the first UOL email with the welcome letter thingy.

Anybody here going for PSOC (Mon/0830/ Adrian Tang), Econs (Mon/1200/ Zhang Jianlin), Math1 (Tue/1200/ Thng Kok Wai) and IBM (Thur/0830/ M Nageb)?

Me going for econs same as u, psoc on fri afternoon 12pm, maths 1 on mon morning and IBM on sat morning.

UOL will only mail the teaching notes to us. Textbooks we have to buy ourselves from the book store.

most of my classes are in the afternoon!
didnt expect the slots to be taken up so fasttt.
tried reloading the page and the slots i wanted have alrdy taken up

received email from UOL, but it only said to wait for another 2 more emails (that will have my username and password) which will be sent within 48 hours. lol

How did you manage to get the UOL to issue the username and password?

Can be found in the student portal under administration, got 1 is on the book list one. Go look for that can le.

I think I am going for the 23rd Orientation Day since I registered for it very early. I checked my inbox but the emails that indicated my registration for the Enrollment talk and the Orientation Day didn't mention anything about the dates I registered for.

Yea, mine as well, that day i send email to sim and ask them cos i also blur about which day to go as i sign up for 23 early, then they told me to stick to the normal schedule which is 23, unless got email send to us say change to 24.
