long-time lurker now posting cos apparently ONR versus ONT very important to consider.

How is the 2.5Gbps Simba?

I checked and it's now available for my block, and the Facebook algorithm has been showing me the advertisement for the $20/month before GST, can pay annually (?) 12-month contract.

I am using a pair of ASUS ET12 that has 2.5 WAN and 2.5 LAN

Hi,
a new home owner here in Tampines. I find this Simba, and can people give input how the performance is? Is 2.5gb enough for a family of 4? 1 PC and the rest most likely just mobile phone.

Thanks

Even 500Mbps is plenty for most people. What really matters is how well peered your ISP is, and the upstream IP transit quality.

That's the unknown part about Simba since they are still new and there isn't much feedback in those areas.

hi fellow neighbour👋

in terms of Pricing, no doubt it's the cheapest in the market

in terms of Support, there's no Support hotline. so if Internet goes down, you're on your own.
you can see their Facebook Page and see the list of good/bad comments...

in terms of Speed/Performance, you might want to see the previous comments based on this thread. have fun!

Hi, I'm currently using simba but I can only connect one wireless device. The other devices do not have any network connection. Any idea why is this happening? TIA!

your ONT and router connected properly? ONT should connect to your router's WAN port, not LAN port.

I'm using a Askey 5100 router which I had gotten a few years back which doesn't have the things that you mentioned haha. Is it because it's outdated?

If so, can you kindly recommend a router? Thank you!

Recommended is TX-AX6000 from Asus for this plan which has 2.5g wan port?

If my ONT is hiding inside cabinet with cat 7 cables routed to each room, what is the best arrangement and device to buy?

Buy a 2.5gbe WAN capable switch pair with ur ont
Then the switch to the patch panel, output at desired rooms with APs of your choice
