I am on SIMBA broadband now for a couple of days.

The good:
- Speed. No glitches/outages. ping -n 100 reliable and fast
- Support response time (via their site and support ticketing system) usually within hours.
- SIMBA ONT installation: Calls ahead on the day. Small dedicated box. Done in 10-15 min and works.

The bad:
- NLT appointment was scheduled but never happened. Technician was able to self-service. No appointment call or anything. I only came to know by asking SIMBA that there is no home visit. You are left in the blind whether NLT visits or not.
- No IPv6!?
- CG-NAT (i.e. shared dynamic IPv4 with others)
- "My account" feature for broadband does not exist yet. You have essentially no way of managing your account other than using the Support ticketing system.
- You prepay the whole 1 year contract
- I was not able to choose the 3 month contract during signup (had to go for 1 year)
- The email to support@simba.sg is responded with "not monitored", even though it is advertised as contact mechanism. All your initial requests need to go through their Support Ticketing site.

Cheap, simple, works, not fancy. However I would have really liked IPv6 coming with it, if you do CG-NAT.
Hi,where is your location?my is boonlay ,wish to sign up ,want to know whether good or not in boonlay.

Thanks to Bros who gave me suggestions. Now I'm signed up with Whizcomms instead of Simba. Aggregated 2.5Gbps might just what I need now as different users can have their own LAN 1Gbps if they every used up so much bandwidth, so others will not be affected, as compared to previously all sharing the same 1Gbps.

Guess I'll try Simba later.

If your contract is up please don't hesitate. $20 per month saves lot, and no need for 24mths contract, only 12.

Connection so far so good. Did speedtest on destop LAN & mobile wifi at the same time, desktop 940Mbps, phone 450+Mbps, so technically achieving over 1Gbps combined. Haven't tested 2 deskops at the same time.
They got live chat support, not sure is that's what you are looking for?

When the lady called me to confirm setup date, I asked if there's a NLT guy need to come test signal first she said no need.
On that day only a guy that came with ONR & his laptop to connect and test.
He also waited for me to connect router(set as AP) and tested on wifi, then on desktop. Setup only took around 15mins.

Can anyone confirm nowadays no need NLT guy to test signal prior to broadband setup?
Btw, both my fibre ports has been activated before. One currently still in use (till end of the month). So Whizcomms only need to plug in the other free fibre port.

Ok tks for the review. As long there some form of tech support if needed. Unlike SIMBA think only emails.
K may consider try the 21.80 plan. For digital voice need to add $3+

usually there will be someone from NLT to 'test' your FTP. once completed, your telco will take over which means, the 'installation' or 'appointment' will take over...

What is your current router?

Archer AX55 Pro has only 2.5G WAN/LAN port and the LAN ports are still Gigabit LAN port. So it will not really increase your wired device speed (like your PC). It should help to increase the wireless speed though.

https://www.tp-link.com/sg/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax55-pro/#specifications
Ethernet Ports
• 1× 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN Port
• 1× Gigabit WAN/LAN Port
• 3× Gigabit LAN Ports

If you do not mind no local warranty, Asus China TX-AX6000 (dual 2.5G ports) will be a much better buy at at RMB 729 (plus Shipment and GST).

The Asus China version TX-AX6000 (counterpart to TUF-AX6000) is a much better buy than the TP-Link Archer AX55 Pro, if you do not mind no local warranty.

If you need local warranty, you may want to consider Asus TUF-AX4200 or TUF-A6000 but the cost is higher than the TP-Link Archer AX55 Pro.

What is the final charges from them? Do they charge any service, activation or installation fee? My m1 500mbps expiring soon. Wanted to switch side too

NLT activation $57.77 + Installation $54.50
Total $112.27 upfront

The $21.80 will be billed end of 1st month

You have either Simba or Whizcomms to choose.
If your household not many users and all on wifi, then probably Simba better, cos all will be sharing the 2.5Gbps.

But if you have different users on a LAN & wifi, then Whizcomms probably better.

Update Simba performance since the 2nd day after installation hiccup incidence (~1hr down), Simba performance is so far so good, no down time since. It is definitely worth the $20 fee (if not down and don't need tech support), ignore the below 500mbps speed which was due to some error/trial. I am using 1Gbps router. The best results were based on direct modem connection.
