Their service really cmi and got hidden terms for termination if you ever get their so called chosen number.

I sign up for simba two months ago, tried giving them a chance due to cheap 5g plans, at my area Bukit Gombak, though i can get 5g but in fact the connection is worse than a starhub 4g connection... then intermittent slow network, play game gg....

tried cancelling last month end, submitted online to terminate the line. 2 days later then they get back to me say ok can cancel, then suddenly another email come telling me due to me getting a chosen number(by right if you tell me for people porting out, u charge more i can understand but im cancelling the line and number goes back to simba), it was 50 percent subsidised which they dont even prompt or show you clearly when you sign de, u need to pay extra money for termination as its under 24 mths then the best part is u CANNOT pay online and must go down to their service centre to do the termination. Its darn time wasting and stupid. Even after paying customer service centre tell me all done and cancelled. Got back home nia they send me email tell me to pay for subscription else will be suspended. lastly send another two email then can get confirmation my line with them is cancelled.

It’s “all stated” in your contact when you sign with the golden number they offered. The contract doesn’t seem feasible, but you agreed to it. Have to go thru all the trouble. I would have kept the number for 24 months instead.

Firstly, dun say u do not know its a golden number bcos when u sign up, there are 2 different tiers of numbers to select (i) pick a new number and (ii) lucky number.
Secondly, although this golden number return to Simba but its afterall a recycled number that might have release to scammers

thats why must warn ppl, im not the only one who gana the so called golden number thing already. Plus gan stupid have to travel down to use paynow just to cancel the number. I actually thought of using see if network is ok for normal usage at bukit gombak or not, apparently not, keeping it for 24 months not feasible for me ba

whether number is recycled or not, I paid for it and the terms and condition was not obvious. i only know when i want to cancel

tbh, its stated in T&C and there's no way that you can state that its not shared/known, unless you can prove otherwise since the T&C will be provided/stated.
And yes, you're not the first to highlight, and likely not the last too.

what's obvious in the t&c is there is an upfront payment of $10, $28 or $200 or even $3,888 for a lucky number

what is less apparent is that there is a 24 month contract or a penalty equivalent of the upfront fee for the lucky number

what is ridiculous is that the penalty can only be paid at the kaki bukit HQ or orchard service outlet

The fine print should not confuse the customer, or provide opportunities for companies to say, “gotcha.”

that's all I have to say
Sorry, I would disagree as imo its pretty clear, and I believe in legal aspect, there's no way that customer can claim no knowledge of.
Moreover, its stated during the sign up page, not like its hidden.
If customers don't read and blindly accept, then its onus is on customer. Thus, always at least skim through T&C to whatever is being signed for all contracts since its binding.

lol, making a fool of oneself when onus is on customer to read through instead of blindly accepting.
Nobody is a fanboy, more so for services.
Letting others be warned to not be silly is a great advocacy with this thread, I complete agree. 🤡 :s22:

The T&C was obvious to me recently when I looked around the website.

maybe you did not see it for whatever reason.

Blind what, that's why T&C is blind to him :ROFLMAO:

But I do agree that travelling down just to pay using paynow is a bit ridiculous

deliberately making it difficult for customers to port out
I stayed 2 months longer until I found the time to go kaki bukit to pay ransom

only occasion I had to use it at home, disconnect modem to to install a new router,
no wifi, simba took 5 minutes to download a 50 MB app

crap network, sometimes can't even get 1 mbps at home
5G slower than 3G

I avoided those numbers because of the 2-year commitment.
