For data roaming, as long as the mobile line is roam ready, just have to turn on data roaming and set the network to automatic will do? Any other steps that I missed?

For calls overseas, is it a must to use the Simba voice app? Got to add the +65 even for mobile lines?

Btw, the data roaming part that I've mentioned is fine right?
I've never heard of the +65 except maybe during the very very early days?

Yes, just make sure you activate 48 hrs before going overseas.

Hi all, any1 collect their sim card from serangoon booth ? Is the booth still there ? And can I help my mum to collect on behalf ?

Why don't opt for free delivery? Using app to register for senior plan got free postage delivery

Hi all, I would like to ask the expert here.. I signed up the seniors plan of 5 dollars per month for my mum.. it states expiry is 20 Mar which is next month .. so do I used shopee seller to top up my account so that simba can deduct it monthly ?

Yes, at least 7 days before.

No need the app as long as your phone is on this list.

SIMBA Voice App is required when you’re on non-VoLTE networks even if you’re using VoLTE compatible device.

I would highly suggest you to install SIMBA Voice App even if your device is VoLTE compatible even for roaming network. Just to make sure that you can still make and receive calls using WiFi (if cellular reception is poor or VoLTE couldn’t be latched due to 3G/2G fallback - it happens).

When calling back Singapore using native VoLTE or SIMBA Voice app, just call the 8 digit number, don’t need +65. But if you’re calling elsewhere, you need it of course.

Heard too much complains regarding activation for free delivery options… I would rather self collect than to later on get nagged by seniors cos the activation and porting took slightly longer than expected.

later on anything wrong you’ll be to blame too, but when things work they might not even thank you at all.

I can vouch for delivery, activated two sims that way no issue, including for senior.

Agree, better to download the voice app, might be able to use in countries that don’t support Volte etc Vietnam

I am now in Penang with a friend using Simba and for myself is using GIga.
Signal wise for my friend Simba's line seems ok except that when he uses the Grab app for transport, no response at all, like no signal to reach Grab services.
Whereas when I tried using Giga, immediately managed to get a driver.
He also reinstalled the Grab app but still no response.

There are also other variables. Grab membership tier also affects prioritisation levels, and past history as well. Hard to pin it all on coverage.

My mom is currently in Melaka with her friends, and she is a low priority Grab user. But using SIMBA, she still books fine.

You got your Giga roaming to work in Penang?
