If you are in Singapore now:No...not require any setting
If you are in Singapore now:
SMS 3 to 1218 to check if you are Roam Ready for receiving OTP while you are in overseas.
If you are in overseas now:
Dial *1218# on your phone to check the same.
However, I guess by now your phone should be Roam Ready already. Else, something was wrong on the OTP Senders/Companies.
Quite true. Quite immediate.Simba staff told me this is not relevant anymore.. All new port over roam is immediate no need 48 hr..
S23 ultra red.
It's not so simple to blame the sender. If you are in Singapore now:

Using that analogy, the telco message servers also have logs to ascertain if the "packet" reaches you "while you are roaming network" or "while you are on home turf".It's not so simple to blame the sender.
When you roam, there's a handing over process for texts as a data packet, from one operator to another. Often, this is where the problems happen.
This is why the destination (roaming) operator can confirm they have received a message for you as it is relayed through their systems, and they will charge roaming fees. From a long time ago, even if you have not received the message and try to dispute, you may find that you cannot waive the fees because it's not billed by our local telco but by the international partner - so someone has to pay, if not you then it's your telco who absorbs that fee. It gets worse when there might be multiple transitions in between.
Sometimes the "handover" fails, and the texts get bounced back to the origin telco, almost like a "bounced email". Have ever received roaming charges and then received SMSes sent during roaming. This I managed to dispute cos I showed my passport that proved I was already in Singapore before receiving the SMS (the date/time stamps were the next day after I returned).
I have paid for receiving before. It is a thing, depending on where you go. Also depends on the telco if they want to be funny. To be fair, that was a few years back, but it has made me wary that there is very little to no roaming protection for our local telcos, because charges are not levied by them but by the foreign telco.Using that analogy, the telco message servers also have logs to ascertain if the "packet" reaches you "while you are roaming network" or "while you are on home turf".
But so far never got charged for receiving sms while roaming though.
Also need to take into consideration the country's laws and regulations.
Like sg, have gahment sanctioned blacklist of sender names and numbers for sms recently, this is above the individual operators blacklists acting like spam filter on 2 layers.
There's also the A2P vendor providing the b2b connectivity to mention but that's like too chim for me riaos

I just port over from GOMO this month. Before that, I took a new number for testing. Signal is good. Malls, mrt, office. Except my home. Lol. I feedback to Simba. They take note. But not sure when they will fix it. Home is around 2 to 3 bar signal strength.Considering to port my Gomo to Simba to save $8.17 every mth. Anyone using Simba on Poco phones? Able to get 4g+ signal most of the time? I am using Poco f5. Thank you everyone.
It’s best to send a termination request to Simba , you don’t want to end having a bad record with Credit bureau..I just port over from GOMO this month. Before that, I took a new number for testing. I am using Poco X3 pro.
I suggest you just get a $10 new line for your own testing. No need to do anything after 1 month. It will suspend and terminate itself eventually.
All Telco same, different location different signal reception. No all perfect one. To your own needs.
4g+ and 4g no difference.Considering to port my Gomo to Simba to save $8.17 every mth. Anyone using Simba on Poco phones? Able to get 4g+ signal most of the time? I am using Poco f5. Thank you everyone.

Sounds very good! But I've been trying hard to get 5G on my 13mini. Working at bugis area, cannot. Been to Vivo and Orchard, all no. Set to 5g On and Auto no diff. Possibly they restrict some numbers to enable 5G access? So yesterday I went to Vivo again, confirmed at multiple locations such as Kopitiam and Food republic that 5G is available. This is iphone 14 pro, the speed though is barely desirable, on fast.com it only registered between 130 and 150mbps.
I put the sim into s23u and it didn't show 5G, so same observation as keenklee. I didn't try the settings by tohchr, and the speed at 4G at the same location is about the same as the 5g on iphone 14p.
I doubt it, but I haven't seen 5G until recently, so was your Vivo visit recent?Sounds very good! But I've been trying hard to get 5G on my 13mini. Working at bugis area, cannot.
