Need advice on this, as I never use the roaming offered by SIMBA.

For example go to JB, would be

1) after cleared the custom, then manual search for their partner network (Celcom)
2) after manual set to "Celcom", then switch "on" the "Data Roaming" on your HP

and ready to go?

What are some of the issues encountered during roaming?

on your phone, just leave data roaming on. Actually you can keep it on in Singapore. So when you enter Malaysia, it will be automatically connected to Celcom. That's all, no need for manual toggles or whatsoever
thanks for the tip, so far are there any known roaming issues facing SIMBA users? just curious

Just ported my number to Simba on 23rd Jan and regret it big time. Reception is so bad at my office and its dead zone on another side. This is Marina One East Tower.

I did not know that they do not have hotline for customer to call in case for any emergency technical support. The only way to reach them is via email, useless automated Chatbot, FB/IG messager and good luck waiting for reply. If its not because there is $30 dollar penalty porting out within 30 days from activation date, I already ported out.

I would advise to get a new number from Simba to try out if you want. Never port your main number over until you are satisfied with it.

Used to have this issue when inside a concealed area where the network will cut off.

Thankfully, there is office wifi to tap until recently the coverage improved.

I dropped them a msg via FB and asked them to contact the premises officer of my company via email when encountered the network coverage issues months ago.

Depends on your phone, Android have to google the code or check your settings.
Otherwise, IIRC, SIMBA app should have the call fowarding setting.
Found it. Its in Simba Voice app :) Thnx!

Street Level, Malls are fine. B1 car park at my home no service. Gym (Northshore Plaza) keep dropping off and on between LTE and 5G. If fixed it to only LTE, well not ideal but usable.

If I exceed the 1 GB free roaming limit while in Malaysia under the Simba plan, can I continue using it on a pay-as-you-go basis for additional data, or do I need to purchase a separate roaming plan?

Top-up your wallet & payment will be from the wallet.

SIMBA does not offer pay-as-you-roam services thus, payment/balance is required before usage resumes after exceeeding roaming quota.

I want to use this prepaid SIM Plan from SIMBA. If I go to the shop, purchase this plan & get the SIM, will I get connected immediately or wait till after midnight?

SIMBA $10 for 30 days

And I presume the plan will get terminated if I don't renew?

Thanks

Unlimited local calls is for mobile lines only, if you call fixed line (6xxx) the minutes will be deducted from the 300mins outgoing calls.

Depends on what phone you using, most of the phones samsung or iphones don't need simba voice app as it supports volte. Only old phones don't really support. What phone is he using?
