I need some advice for change in plans please.
I understand that once changed, the remaining days for current plan will be forfeited. I m certainly aiming to minimise any forfeit. I read we should change by 25th day but they have already deducted $10 for renewal on 12th when my renewal is 17th. Can I still change now or can't since the deduction for renewal was already made? 😭
For the past few months, they have been deducting either 13 or 14... 🥺

Deduction made, wait for next cycle.
You need to time it before the deduction, which is the 12th of the month+/- for deduction.

Thanks! Just checked my SMS on the deductions to-date, they really made it on the 26th so the 31 calendar days actually brought the deduction date forward. 🥺
I always had the feeling that my renewal date has changed n been brought fwd. Indeed, Unlike the big providers where the renewal period doesn't change. last year aug, my deduction was done on 18 renewal date 22 aug. 1 year later, deduction on 12 renewal date 17. I recalled signing up towards month end when I started. So they eat few days a year. Also, the data these days seem less stable so we also hesitant to top up a lot on the recent promo.. does anyone have similar experience?

Yup, troublesome to track for SIMBA compared to the other big 3 with fixed billing dates.
Probably one of the subtle ways that they use to disincentivise port outs. lol

another effective way is to log in the change of plan website. they will state which day you are in for ur current cycle. note the 25th day and create a calendar reminder

Hi anyone tried port out of simba before? I received email from them that my account terminated last night at 11PM, and my new telco suppose to activate my eSim at 2 am. However my line still not active and simba line has been deactivated.

Checked with my new provider, they mentioned that Simba has not released the number yet, so they cant activate my number. Anyone experienced this before?

Now i cant receive/call out, and no data to use. I wont have any connection if I leave my house.

According to this (https://support.simba.sg/hc/en-us/articles/4487070851737-How-do-I-port-out-from-SIMBA), they shouldn't have terminate the line unless they can release it.

I'm also porting out currently, SIMBA line got disconnected last night and still not activate with new service provider. Got stuck somewhere...

Shouldn't be simba issue since it's been terminated. Please verify and confirm with your current telco, you tell them the line has been released and terminated liao last night.

Anyway, did u do a restart of your phone?

Who is/are your new service provider? Not the same, I hope?

Yup, I also understand that Simba shouldn't terminate the line until the porting process is completed. If porting fails, the line should go back to Simba.

normally you dont need to talk to existing telco to port out number. just go to new telco and tell them to port no for you.

dont think you can port the line after termination, because it is not your no anymore.

Yes turn off and on the esim, restarted phone as well. Still same. I talk to their live agent, they check with their backend team and mentioned Simba has not released the number yet. I even share them the email i received from Simba that the line has been terminated.

Yeah, but Singtel telling me that Simba has not released the number, so cannot activate the number yet.

Suspect Simba's email could be auto-generated at a certain time, after a request is put through.

Is your Simba line working then? Tried talking to Simba?
