My account shows local data usage as 49.80GB/50.00GB but phone's data counter shows 14.3GB for the month. Is TPG Mobile Management page showing correctly or not I wonder?

If phone counter starting day is adjusted to match the TPG 30 days cycle starting day, then something is wrong.

Note that TPG doesn't start on 1st of the month and it runs on a 30 days cycle.

BM & TB indoor residential unit between 15-30Mbps download, upload below 10Mbps. Open areas and inside Malls such as Tiong Bharu Plaza or Jurong Pt normally can achieve up to 80-100Mbps D/L. Didn't try inside MRT tunnels, tiagong not so good OR totally no reception.

Their Billing procedure needs improvement. Started off on monthly basis, then jumped one month without billing and bill twice the next. Now it's back to monthly again. Needs to keep an eye on it unlike with the other telcos :(:(

Their current $18 / 80GB plan is a good offer.

Thanks! Sounds ok for my usage. I don't go as far as Jurong and I don't take the mrt.

Do they bill every 30 days or monthly?

Any Android app that will send alerts for daily data quota ?

As the min $10 topup is non refundable, any expiry date?

Why min $10 top up not $1 increment as will deduct when exceed?

Even my Nov. and Dec. 60days full month usage added together also not more than 27GB lol.

I'll continue my usage to see how it goes.

free IDD calls only 300 mins? :o the 500 mins is local call only right? :o

2GB is part of 80GB just like our 50GB - 1GB roaming data ? :o

500 mins local talktime + 300 mins IDD Calls to selected destinations. TPG doesn't deduct local airtime for IDD calls, but require users to call through TPG 4G Voice app.

50GB/80GB Local Data is separate from 1GB/2GB data roaming bundle, this isn't M1 Data Passport or Prepaid Roaming from the incumbents.

Hi all

Are there still billing issues with TPG as of now? I know previously their billing system was in a mess. How is like now? And in terms of coverGe above ground ?

Thanks

Don't have any billing issues now. Coverage above ground is good, underground coverage begins to cover more and more underground areas. EWL, NSL coverage is in progress. NEL, KPE, CTE, MCE all have underground coverage.

The realtime usage tracker on your TPG account page is data/sms/minutes available for your 30 day billing cycle, not used. So when it says 49.80GB/50.00GB it means you still have 49.80gb available.

I have forgotten how to set the port in date. Is that at the registration page or after the registration is confirmed by the email reply?

You have to collect the SIM from TPG first, there will not be any service yet.
Port in date, I think the CSO will set the earliest date of port in (may even be the same day if you collect on weekday before late afternoon).

Not sure if there's ability for you to request for specific port in date at the time of collection, and even if have, the SIM will not be active till the port in is successful.

Okay, thanks. I had forgotten or did not take note of this step when I collected my TPG SIM card previously as the port in date was not critical to me. This is for another port in for a family member...

Those of you whom stayed on with TPG. Is it true their network is more stable already?

Yes, more stable. Coverage has improved. But very slow.

For comparison purposes.
Speedtest - Download / Upload, Ping

TPG - 6.91 Mbps / 5.66 Mbps 378ms <--- This line no typo :s13:
Singtel - 199 Mbps / 60 Mbps 19ms

This speed for TPG already considered good liao. I am on myRepublic M1 network for my primary line and the speeds are even slower than this, for once TPG is more stable and faster in some areas than M1. Who knew? :s22:

where was the test conducted?

you can't use one test at one location to generalise.
