I transfer my wife line (cis under my name) to circles (change to her name, no cis), FOC and all went smooth.

Mine was quite smooth yesterday from Singtel to TPG. I'm quite happy that it is now settled.

so we can first transfer to circles (FOC), then transfer from circles to TPG (FOC again).

save $20 :)

I believe it is an admin fee by Singtel if you want to change the hand phone number from one person name to another person name within Singtel. The other Telco will reject the porting request if the number doesn't not belong to you. Hence, I cannot avoid that $20 in my case.

for singtel, free to transfer from prepaid to post paid with different name. I did it before.

I need a cheap phone which can support VoLTE, like Xiaomi. Anyone have any recommendations?

is the $10 plan still worth? tot of getting it as 2nd SIM

I use it as my only SIM card. It is okay as I don't take MRT. By 2nd quarter this year, the connection should be much better at the MRT according to its roll out schedule.

POCO x3 nfc.. haha

Sent from POCO X3 using GAGT

Best is to search TPG web site to confirm model is supported by their network. My friend has a Xiaomi note 8, LTE does not work for TPG but works for Circles life.

Their supported mobile phone list is fairly outdated and TPG has not updated it since Jan 2020.

I ported to TPG yesterday and it was successfully done and activated today.

Their list does not have Samsung Galaxy Note8 as a model that supports VoLTE but my Note8 is currently using VoLTE to make and receive calls plus SMS without issues.

This is how TPG work anyway, everything is slow and outdated.

Can my father sign the $5 plan and I port MyRepublic Number under my name to him?

The $5 / 20 GB senior plan will end in July 2021 if I recall correctly. Thereafter, it will revert to normal $10 but the data package is not so clear.

I never believe in their schedule. But for the price and non critical work. It is fine.
