SIMBAK supports emailed me that the APN should be "Internet" and not "TPG"!

Simba strategy abit weird for this, the $5 and $10 plan does not include ID data. Whereas HK data is offered to all plans..

Wonder, if Indon data is more expensive than HK. Or they want seniors to go Hong Kong to eat dim sum than Indo Mee?

I did a test, "Internet" works!!!

It's a matter of time to phase out "TPG" as it doesn't make any sense now.
I'm using the Internet now too.

Coz I feedback to simba that simba signal was totally lost, 2 or 3 times a day at my house area.

The Straits Times Article today:

Singapore’s mobile data price war: ‘You lose out if you don’t switch’

a45341ab51b7a27f4f85dfad83f4b140d2168a9a682a5ec29ead54e5772c69aa

Singapore ranked 59th globally for mobile data affordability, with an average price of 63 US cents (85 Singapore cents) for 1GB.

The world’s cheapest markets like Israel (two US cents) and Italy (nine US cents), the Republic’s prices are far lower than that of Japan (US$3.48) and the United States (US$6).

In 2016, comes TPG

In 2016, Australian telecom company TPG (now Simba) won the right to become Singapore’s fourth telco – the first new entrant in 15 years.

When the company started offering mobile services in 2018, it made an aggressive play for market share by offering a one-year trial plan with unlimited mobile data. While this unlimited data was capped at 2GB a day, it was also free.

This strategy attracted over 400,000 sign-ups by the trial’s end in 2019, after which the company offered a $10 contract-free SIM-only plan for 50GB a month – the most affordable among its competitors at the time.

As at 2025, Simba commands 11 per cent market share, compared with market leader Singtel’s 44 per cent.

“We had no legacy to contend with and could scale efficiently as demand for our services grew,” Simba’s chief technology officer Benjamin Tan tells ST, noting that his company differentiated itself from competitors with quality offerings at low costs that were simple to understand.

“Many of the features which our competitors charge for, we provide for free,” he adds.

Personally, they managed to resolve the BKE blind-spot issue which took them 2 yrs ish. Then their 5G NSA is alright depending where you are. I am able to hit up to 170 mbps.

For you since is private area and near the coast, probably ultimately they will install in the condos around you which will take approval too but should still be faster than secure sites.

You can feedback too:

Category: Mobile
Mobile Category: Account Related
Sub Category: Network Coverage

They need you to screenshot stuff also to attach to the ticket:
1. Speedtest ookla
2. Signal bars on top left or top right of your phone screen.
3. Current location on google maps
4. Probably building and unit number if you have (provide in text can already)

I submitted a feedback and I am surprised that I got a response the next day requesting for more details.
