I think many of the vending machines with cctv, remote monitoring equipment use normal mobile data connection. Constantly steam data back to servers 24/7. Telco should force them to subscribe business plan.

Businesses should only be allowed to subscribe business plan, no doubt.

But because of that, the "poor SIMBA user" now cannot expect to listen to Tidal or streaming Youtube when traveling on bus/train from JB to KL. :D

Interesting that so many comments are focusing on the "high" data usage overseas and not that a Telco has silently implemented FUP and not informed end user.

Very interesting
The fair usage policy existed since day one during the tpg free trial. There is no clear definition of the policy and i think is same for all telco and mnvo. Up to the telco to determine.

The recent unlimited sms has clear fair usage policy through. Capped at 150 sms per day.

You've said the magic words.

Let's hope no Telco is strong/stupid/stingy enough to one day implement throttling after 1Gb. :devilish:

Local usage has no fup limit. I've not experienced it at all. Only when roaming did I start to experience fup limit. Did anyone experience limit locally? Those uncles and aunties who TikTok all the way will have already complained.

For now there does not seem to be any FUP or throttling locally. Also simba does not need to throttle to make data slow locally.

If you alrdy have 10 lines, porting to simba, simba won't let you port.

🙄
Have a chat with IMDA on 15 May 2026, people who have more than 10 mobile numbers before 28 Feb 2026 are allowed to port or switch telco now. The telco of your choice, will need to perform a check on mobile number registration date with your current telco. Please feedback your case to IMDA if you encounter problem.

Simba tells me cannot have more than 10 hence cannot.

The problem is, if cannot, why didn't they inform before port in?

And since simba dont give temp number, how the hell ppl get notified when port fail?
And assuming i alrdy got 10.
I port existing number to simba. Simba don't give temp number, so my total still 10 what. Why cannot port?

Overall just trash telco

To terminate or port out Simba lucky number, you've to visit either Orchard Central or Kaki Bukit to pay the remaining amount of your 2 year obligation.

Just go there to pay, then tell them to terminate for you.

If you want to port out, just pay the balance of the 2 year obligation, telling them you want to port out the line. Keep evidence of your payment (via PayNow IIRC), take screenshot or photo. After you've submitted your port over request, you might receive an email from a Simba "robot" to go make payment at their counter. ("Robot" coz that person would have just sent the email without checking that you've already paid.) Just reply and show them your evidence.
