I think I'll wait for feedback on this thread when TPG's signal coverage improves (especially in underground MRT stations)...

They are actively building up their network. Those MVNO's (giga, gomo, circles.life, myrepublic, zero1, CMLink, Redone, vivifi and grid) tap on main telco network.

TPG is a telco, hence they need to time to build up physical infrastructure. From what I see, now mostly underground tunnels do not have reception. Otherwise, everything is good.

Their build up is long over due!
With this $10 plan, my guess is the free trial is coming to the end soon.

50GB is at high speed all the way or part of it at managed / throttled speed?

I’m trying for this $10 deal. Better than circlelife $5.

When is fee trial ending?

from HWZ

while TPG would fulfil the free trial period that the users are currently signed up for, one month before the end of their contract, they would receive an email to see if they were interested in migrating to the TPG 50GB SIM Only Plan. If they do not wish to migrate, they can either move to another telco by porting their number over, or sign a new plan with TPG. Their existing number and plan will not be in operation once their contract ends.

Yes, the main gripe is on underground tunnels. If that is sorted, I have no qualms jumping over

I received email back being this year stating free trail end FEB, but seem still working after that. After that no further update.

Hopefully they do it right this round. Anyway has taken up Circles life too. Needing TPG certified VoLTE phone to make call is also a difficult task. Otherwise you need to install TPG Voice call app as a alternative.

Well actually unless your work hugely depends on mobile and travelling around on public transport (especially in city-areas where all metro lines are underground), TPG would not be the best choice till they finish building up the networks in EWL/NSL/CCL/DTL/CTE.

I don't think it's a big issue for no network in underground tunnels since the ride between Tiong Bahru and Lavender isn't that long. I've been to London Underground, almost ALL underground stations has zero networks. I was so amazed that they lived without networks underground since the introduction of mobile network.

tbh, this plan is great for tablet users, especially if your home wifi is over utilised

If u keep watching movies using tpg line on the tablet, u will burst the data in no time... if u tablet is home based and have a wifi connection, its a waste of money to put a sim in it
