i'm getting 100mbps download speed at home, upload 8mbps. Which area are you in? Do you try in your home or open space?

most likely tpg's basestation is very near your house. good for high download speed, may not be good if health is concerned :s13: :s13:

1- base station not serving a lot user.

2- I notice Tpg during off peak (1am range) usually has high Speedtest result. Than 7am drop to 10-25mbps range.

Probably, also it might be because of recent purgging of trial users. Last time the speed wasn't this fast. Last time also don't have 4G+, now I got 4G+ in my neighbourhood.

Is there any difference, except for the subscription eligibility and the former being an offer price until only July 2021?

My last week in free TPG tiral is good. Max speed test can reached 100mpb in Bukit Batok and Jurong East Central... Which was higher than M1 on the same spot...

The app cmi.. didn't even receive the sms one-time password to enter the app.

IMHO.
Just recently, received an SMS that have reached 100% of the data bundle.
Thereafter, went to the online portal to check, show still got 4.9GB.

The precise reason why I do not top-up via the online portal.
I am not even sure if they are aware of the discrepancy.

Anyway, they definitely need an app - working or not.
The bright idea "30 days" makes the start date of the cycle ever changing. :s13:

I would like to apply a mobile data plan for my old folks.

Is the TPG 5 bucks for senior plan sufficient for short calls and quick data usage? Or should I go for MyRepublic $10 lite plan. I’m using the latter as a back-up line. Will the TPG plan be way much worse? Old folks, very light usage.

CMLink $10/5GB/100mins/100sms running on Singtel Network. Save your trouble on MyRepublic (data disconnect) and TPG (underground basement at some places no signal)

IMHO & IME.
I would say, if there is coverage, TPG is very usable.
I have one instance that TPG was so usable that it reached the 50GB limit.
However, I would rate their customer service very poor.

One of TPG pitfall is that the handset needs to be in their approved list. If not, you have to use the TPG Voice App.

Voice call generally is ok. However, I had an experience where TPG cannot call landline which was eventually resolved.

Thanks, I will look into that.

BTW, I thought TPG operates its own network. No? So is it MVNO or pure mobile network. Sorry, I don’t know the terminology.

TPG owns the network infrastructure, yes.

CMLink is MVNO, relying on SingTel's network.
MyRepublic is also MVNO, but relying on M1's network.

Both plans comes with 300 mins talktime, but TPG is charged per second, while MyRepublic is probably per minute. So short calls TPG maybe able to make more calls compared.

Only issue is that coverage is still Work in Progress especially in MRT tunnels (NSL, EWL, CCL and DTL still not covered, to be completed by end-H2 2021).
Also, may have to get a new smartphone that supports TPG VoLTE, or use the TPG 4G Voice App.

Senior Go Digital plans will be reverted back to $10/mth wef 1 Aug 2021.

If there is coverage, the network would be saturated with users. Back to square one unless TPG increase capacity.

Yes I finished using my TPG 50GB in about 25 days, probably shorter timeframe if I continue my Netflix instead of streaming HK TVB drama.

Agreed on the capacity.
TPG 4G to me is like my Singtel 3G - only that my Singtel 3G download is more consistent.

I did a speedtest.
TPG 4G down 7.91 and up 4.4
Singtel down 49.2 and up 24.6

I would say the 4G and is wasted. It could have been much faster.
