Hello, Im considering buying Samsung A32 5G for my mum to replace her old Samsung A8.
Trying to buy one that is convenient for her so like to check if anyone is using A32 5G on TPG; need to use the TPG dialer app to make call ?
Or A32 5G has VoLTE function so no need dialer app ?
Thanks.
I feel like getting a 5G device just for use on TPG is quite wasteful.

Maybe get her a Poco X3 Pro, or Poco M3 (4G), should be enough for her use already. Large battery should last her for days.

And Xiaomi devices support native VoLTE, no need for 4G Voice App (unless roaming). Just disable VoLTE check through *#*# 86583 #*#* if need to, then enable VoLTE in settings.

Thanks for recommendations.
Shes used to using Samsung phones and didnt want to make it difficult for her to re-learn operating the phone.
So I feel A32 will be near to my budget and ease of convenience for her.

Just not sure whether still need to install the 4G Voice app.

Hi, i am using the $10 prepaid card and I have $10 in the account balance. If I use up the 100gb before 30 days, will tpg auto renew to new 30 days and 100gb?

No. They'll deduct from account balance at $1/GB until it's empty.

It's alr stated in Critical Information Summary.

friend using it and read reviews on FB and here, generally 40-70mbps 4g speed mrt coverage is there now... if you not fuss about speed then cheap is ideal for this plan. 5G trial is limited to certain phone and places. also 130 gb plan is not forever till dec i read the extra GB,

Don't need to recharge by default.

But you can still do so, for the following:
- Roaming (exceed free bundle, or roam in group B/C/D destinations)
- IDD calls
- Overages (data/talktime/SMS)
- Want to use other means to pay instead of autopay (cash/PayNow/shopee payment etc), for double dipping and other reasons.

Anyone experience the tpg account wallet suddenly top up $10 without consent?

All along it was renewed on time every month. But this time round the plan was successfully renewed using cc and few days later the wallet suddenly top up $10 without me doing anything?😱

Could it be your self top-up by mistake, if not, i would suggest to call TPG support for clarification.

Someone could have topped up to your account by mistake, if they don't revoke, enjoy free 1 month of service I guess.

5G spectrum win a much-needed boost for TPG, but still an uphill battle for the telco

THU, DEC 02, 2021 - 5:50 AM

LAST week's award of 5G spectrum was a sorely needed win for newcomer telco TPG Telecom - though it is still an uphill battle for it to gain ground on the Singapore incumbents.

TPG and its Australia-listed parent Tuas Ltd have just disclosed that the telco was provisionally awarded 2 paired lots of 2.1 GHz spectrum for S$31 million, with a 15-year licence.

The latest 5G auction results will likely be a game-changer for TPG, which lost out in last year's beauty contest for 3.5 GHz spectrum. At the time, it clinched only millimetre-wave (mmWave) spectrum, which can be used for localised networks and hotspots, but not island-wide coverage.

TPG thus fell further behind both mainboard-listed market leader Singtel, as well as a tie-up between StarHub and M1, which won 3.5 GHz rights on top of mmWave spectrum.

...

Tuas said on Nov 29 that TPG will "move quickly to commence rolling out 5G equipment", with "very competitively priced services" expected to begin from the first half of 2022.
