Anyone used roaming in Malaysia with TPG's service? How is the speed and connectivity? Thinking of going to JB and may need to surf from there. Thanks.

now in JB using TPG (Celcom) and XOX (Celcom).

Both are very similar and connection is quite good, only some ulu places got poor or no signal.

but if you are travelling around Sutera and Bukit Indah area, ok.

depends on where you go. For $10 and less you go condo basement or shopping mall basement, TPG is decent and value for money as a main sim. Currently using it as main sim and no issue receiving sms from bank for otp

Hello! Newb to TPG. I think TPG is no contract. Can ask how easy it is to change between TPG plans, eg portover to the $10 plan and only change to SIMBA plan when going overseas? Thanks!

What's "SIMBA plan"? My $10 plan is showing SIMBA network.

The $25 SIMBA SuperRoam plan?

TPG and SIMBA is the same name/brand.

if you are already on the $10 plan, there is no need to change to any plan. You just need to ensure the right country roaming is supported.

The $10 plan has a 1GB roaming data to some countries. If need additional roaming data, starts from $4/GB.

Thanks all. Was thinking of switching between the $10 and $25 plan for the month that I travel overseas so as to have more overseas data for that month.
Would anyone know if the switch between plans is straight forward and convenient online or do I have to do it at a branch?

SIMBA Telecom doesn't allow change of plan once you signed.
