Is it a must to use Simba Voice App for recently launched phones like Samsung S23 Ultra?
Thanks for your input.
Simba Voice app is cool. can make calls to SG while overseas for free.
I wish every telco has this.

even cooler is can install it on another phone (no sim or different telco) and use it to call. eg. family member not on simba can install it and use it locally or overseas to call back singapore.

I do understand that for MY130, it has to be done through online.
However, if I prefer to visit Simba's retail outlet, I wonder will the staff entertain me?
Anyone tried, care to share experiences? Thanks.
IIRC, you can also get it via their retail outlets. Just a bit more manual processing etc.

As for your earlier question about the Simba Voice app, just install it. It can be used overseas to call back Singapore using your roaming data!

Oh ok, I will soon be visiting the neighbouring retail outlets at my residential vicinity.
Feature on Simba Voice app seems to be great as pointed out by other members here. (y)

Anyone tried changing your plan yet?

Some mobile plan changes are allowed / supported by SIMBA -- but not all possible cases.

There could be people who have already changed their SIMBA mobile plan; but their cases may not be applicable to you -- because the SIMBA plan you're currently using & the plan you intend to change to could be different from others.

See the following SIMBA Web page to know which mobile plan changes are currently allowed / supported:

Or this plan .......
I would say depending on how much data freedom you want in MY.

50GB can watch video or do whatever you want without worries.

10GB must keep track data usage a bit.

I feel, though SIMBA is usable in MY, still lose to local prepaid in terms of connectivity and reliability. Some times at open space area can sot sot jiak bo reception one.

I’m pretty satisfied with Simba’s coverage whoch has improved a lot since the launch.

Speed is also decent in MRT stations and malls etc, but relatively slower than the other 3 telcos.

But what led me to port out recently is the really slow speed in residential areas like my house. I was generally getting between 3-6mbps download speed in my house.

And thats a world of difference when comparing with my Singtel 5G at almost 600mbps vs Simba 3-6mbps at my house. Really cannot la.

What are the probabilities in term of frequency for the "sot sot jiak bo reception one"?. :cautious:

Thanks for your pointers which may be useful in my decision whether to port over to Simba.

Not often but it happens. Most of the time cross causeway will immediately connect to roaming partners, but some times inside JB 30 minutes already still no reception. 1 in 10 times like that I would say.

that's really dependent on the Malaysia telco right? not really Simba's fault.
Ya I thought so too.
