Using Sony Xperia XZ3.

YouTube 720p. Even at 480p it has issues loading as I ride on the bus. Give up on simba liao, went back to my trusty old telco (no names mentioned).

My advise to anyone going for those cheap telcos that do not ride on the main players (singtel, starhub and m1) networks, please consider if you really need so much data and whether the telco's network is able to support this. I learnt my lesson the hard way after frequent disconnections during video calls, unable to make phone calls at home and at work (only some areas in sg work), unable to receive sms OTPs and cannot stream my videos reliably.
I think xperia xz3 have some issue with signal. Can try using other phone see if it improve or not.

I'm curious if any of you holds a simba line, and another MNVO line to compliment?

If yes, which one u use, especially on flexibility for overseas roaming?

I'm using SIMBA for my work line, and StarHub SIM Only ($20 incl. CallerID, back when I signed up) for my main line. Works for me.

Agree with this. Most of the time it’s users’ fault. Telco didn’t spent millions just to fail on some of these issues, but of course no telco is perfect and issues arise from time to time.

Problem right now is that some telcos don’t address some of the more common issues accurately and effectively, leading to confusion on the consumers’ side.
Explain also pointless, 90% of users do not understand how things work and the technicality of things. lol
Damn tiring to educate users one, die die also it is product fault. 🤡

Competitor? Haha.

If yes, he’s just wasting time. Simba has improved by leaps and bounds. No one will be swayed so easily now.
SIMBA is the one forcing the incumbents to up their game on plans etc.
Hopefully they enter the internet service provider market to bring competition too. 🥳

Simba is my work phone, planning to have M1 MVNO as second line via eSIM for the phone.
Have encountered areas with absolutely no SIMBA service, but knowing where I'm, it is not really unexpected.

M1 is my main phone, with ST MVNO being second line.

Roaming via SIMBA SuperRoam MY is great.
I won't mind paying $4/GB for roaming in other destinations once in a while, since it's my work phone. However, my main phone will likely be using overseas sim because it can be cheaper.

I'm planing to sign up the $10 plan even it only has a free 1GB Roaming data.

I'm okay to pay $4/GB when travelling overseas in excess of the free 1GB roaming data.

It is still worth it as I don't travel too frequently.

So far my experience with Simba is almost the same as giga or vivifi. They just work.
I have no complain and would go for whoever is the cheapest

It’s more surprising despite being one of the lowest (if not the lowest) roaming services at $4/GB, you’re only charged by every 10MB usage.

Only annoying part is that you could have like $4.92 in the balance, pretty much unusable for anything else.

I use a SIMBA line for my tablet / mobile WiFi, with a Starhub SIM-Only plan for a personal line & a Zero1 Starter Line for work.

So far, I can count on one hand the number of places where the SIMBA line has issues in terms of connectivity. & quite often, during morning rush hours on the MRT, my SIMBA line outperforms my Starhub or Zero1 lines that I use it as a hotspot for my phone.

For overseas roaming, I use the free 1GB roaming data on SIMBA, combined with a Starhub Prepaid card (if supported). I've used it in multiple countries & the only country I had issue in was Australia (where it was able to connect, but extremely slow).

Just ported into SIMBA from M1 yesterday. From my testing conducted thus far on my super duper old Iphone 6 plus, SIMBA data streaming seemed faster/more stable than M1. I was in and around East area. Right now, can't make/receive Volte calls on my Iphone, cos the Simba Voice app requires IOS 13, which I haven't updated my Iphone. Small non-existent issue, since WhatsApp calls is fine. And anyway, nowadays majority of communication is done via social apps (msgs and calls).

For those intending to port main line / second line into SIMBA, or get a second line on SIMBA, rather than doing it online, can consider doing it at any of the authorized dealers/shops or SIMBA service centre. Faster than online. My port in from M1 to SIMBA, done at authorized dealers, took less than 24 hours. Done in the afternoon, I think the system did the port-in at night, next morning, my M1 Sim card down liao, and my SIMBA sim card is up.

If register online, think still need to activate SIM card. If done at the shop, there is no need to do the activation. Once the system triggers the port in and port in is successful, the SIMBA sim card is up and running. Then one just needs to download the SIMBA app (and SIMBA voice app if SIMBA does not support Volte on the phone). Then one can use the SIMBA app for top-ups, and add info (email etc).
