I just ported to SIMBA eSim, QR code was sent immediately to my email and have added / activated on my iPhone. But need 1-2 working days for number to port over. I believe only then my line will be live.

I tried to run a speedtest on SIMBA network but not working yet. M1 still live.

No porting on weekends and holidays.

So, you porting will only take place on the coming late Monday night at 11pm.

I do understand the meaning of working days, and since both my current M1 and SIMBA are on eSim, they are concurrently on my iPhone and I can toggle easily to switch once the current network is off.

Does anybody know if it is easy / cumbersome to transfer line from 1 party (my parent) to another (me)? We are all under M1 but it has been very long since they phased out the multi-line discount bundle (together with broadband).

I still have a line under my parent name and it was a bidded number. M1 requires us to be in person at the shop to do the transfer. Whilst if possible, I'd use my parent Singpass and do the porting of line from M1 to SIMBA first, then internally do a switch to transfer from their name to mine.

Also, on another related note regarding 5G, I hope to be able to use this if possible. Do we still get the ability to request from SIMBA or just have to wait since the section has been removed from the FAQ recently?

Change the name while it's still under M1. SIMBA does not support changing of ownership atm.

So how does it work, as both my parents current lines with M1 is under me, which means if I switch to SIMBA they won't be eligible for the Seniors Plan because it's under my name and I'm not a senior.

Although I don't mind paying $10 for 100gb instead of $5 for 20gb. Not really a deal breaker. I'm paying on average S$25 for each of my 3 lines with M1 now, Sim Only.

Whatever related to name change or change of ownership, please do it while the line is still under M1.
SIMBA does not support changing of ownership at the moment and if u port it over to SIMBA, u can no longer change name unless u port out.

Thanks.

But what I meant on the 2nd part was, since the lines are all under my name (for easy management and payment), the lines that my parents are using would not qualify for seniors plan since they are not applying directly under their name.

I checked their past monthly usage, and they barely go above 10gb. So I think we are good with $10 100gb (and drop to 50gb after July 2023).

Although I am having second thoughts on having them port to ZYM to get Singtel coverage since they barely go overseas. I signed up for SIMBA earlier this afternoon as I want the 40gb roaming to Malaysia.

If I do not go to other regional countries, will all 50gb be available for use in Malaysia? like 10+40gb or just 40gb?
