Note: their port out method will screw u. you are only allowed to port out after 30 days on board.Thanks. I whatsapp to the MyFirst Fone support and he also mentioned Simba is not supported for the voice call for R1s.
I guess I am stucked unless I port out to other telco.
Nobody screw anyone.. just need to open eyes wide when sign up ? M1 also has the minimum commitment period .Note: their port out method will screw u. you are only allowed to port out after 30 days on board.
- their bill deduction is every 29 days
- port out before 30 days will subject to what $150 or something early termination fee
- there's no bill rebate after port out
I couldn't live with their network coverage for my daily use. tried porting out on 31st ASAP.
i port out 1 week + before the cut of date previously ... known fact that they need more time to port out ... staying a miniumum of 30 days with a telco/mvno is quite commonNote: their port out method will screw u. you are only allowed to port out after 30 days on board.

I think mine is the latestBtw which OS are you using? I’m still using the MyFirstFone app. The new Myfirstcircle app requires to update a new OS in the R1s. Not sure if the new OS that caused it?
not with full fledge telcos, they return you unused days. commitment or money? end of the day if I paid for 30days port out use less, I still not getting a refund. They were not able to explain why I had to stay on the line. Also knowing there's a port out they still collected subscription before end of month (policy or govt requirement maybe?)Nobody screw anyone.. just need to open eyes wide when sign up ? Yeah, it wouldn't have mattered if the network was better though...all other porting I've done didn't affect me as much as they had better coverage.i port out 1 week + before the cut of date previously ... known fact that they need more time to port out ... staying a miniumum of 30 days with a telco/mvno is quite common
Maybe. but I vaguely recall wasn't worth it, unless your 2nd month subscription cost more than $30?I thought early port out is only $30 fee?
If it is $150 then I will wait for 30 days

Yes, power drain is higher if the network coverage is poorer where you are because the phone works more to maintain the signal. So battery drain is a useful comparison to serve as an indicator.I just switched from Singtel to Simba. Found that my phone battery drains much faster now compared to when I was on Singtel. Anyone else facing such an issue? I'm just wondering whether it's a network connection issue, like the phone is trying harder to connect to Simba or what.
Also, I used to have an option to disable 5G on my Singtel line to save battery life, but seems like no such option on Simba? Default only 5G network.
Yes! $10 plan! I still can't let go my 1st love; SIMBArellar. Lol..
My territory ; Aljunied MRT / Geylang area are covered by SIMBA 5G extensively.More and more purple (5G) areas are being mapped on nPerf app since SIMBA rolled out 5G to all it's users. Good to see more people trying to map out where 5G areas are.
I've noticed that recent days, Yishun, Choa Chu Kang areas start to have more 5G areas being mapped.
If you guys have a 5G phone, trying downloading nPerf app and start mapping the 5G areas. The areas that don't see 5G being mapped are Bukit Panjang, Tiong Bahru, Bedok South, Simei, Tampines and Yishun
Use the webby. There is an option to do so.I bought a seniors SIM at a shop and paid $5. How can I pay monthly by credit card? Seems like no options in the simba app.
At $50+ per month for lower data vs $10 for 100Gb, I wanted to give it a try. Perhaps I'll port over back to a Singtel MVNO after some time. I can't even port over to a Singtel MVNO (e.g. Zym) directly from Singtel plan.Yes, power drain is higher if the network coverage is poorer where you are because the phone works more to maintain the signal. Singtel is probably the best covered mobile network in Singapore. You've essentially jumped from the best to the (second?) worst, in terms of islandwide coverage. In some cases from experience, I can argue that M1 is worse.![]()
still cannot....Use the webby. There is an option to do so.
Not with the app.
I think the data bundle isn't the right focal point. It's a red herring to distract users and make them feel like it's better value for money. Sure it's great to have more in theory, but what you actually use might not be as much as you assume it to be.At $50+ per month for lower data vs $10 for 100Gb, I wanted to give it a try.
