I thought only M1 running a pure SA 5G network, the rest are on NSA/SA which means they will need to tap into 4G bands for their 5G services. The below article mentioned that 5G bands in SG are only the n1 and n78. n40 is for 4G and cannot be used for 5G, so presumably, Simba relies on n40 as NSA for 5G on top of the n1 which they are allocated.

https://en.ocworkbench.com/singapore-5g-frequency-bands-used-by-singtel-m1-starhub-and-simba-telecom/#:~:text=At the moment, Singtel, Giga, another potential 5G band candidate.

The n40 5G band plus n257/n258 for mmwave was mentioned by Simba last time.

I still believe 5G NSA works this way: need to connect to both LTE and NR cells at the same time. So if want to use both band 40 and band 1 at the same time, it must be b40(LTE) + n1(NR). You can tell by their ARFCN (Absolute radio-frequency channel number). For LTE, this number is something like (38750, E-ARFCN, 2310MHz, b40, used by SIMBA), which is a short number. For NR, it will be (462000, NR-ARFCN, also 2310MHz, N40, used by SIMBA), which is long.

Yes they have mmwave, but they are not using it. No user detected that frequency.

Discovered with network cell info app that my xiaomi phone on china rom is using band 8 for 5G(NSA). By right the specs state the phone do not support band 8 for 5G. The app found band 1 5G(SA) but should be other telco cell tower.

I believe band 8 is used as LTE anchor band for NSA 5G, means, band 8 is used as the LTE controller frequency, but your phone is also connected to n1 at the same time for data.
As for the band 422910 shown in my screen picture, it is indeed SIMBA tower. That frequency belongs to SIMBA

but still, I'm not a pro, and these info are not available online like other countries (some countries can find exactly what ARFCN is used), so I might be wrong

IMHO.
I did not really test because the connection to 5G is not consistent and the speed is not fantastic.
But when able to connect to 5G, the speed was an improvement over TPG own 4G.
Means improving from 10Mbps to 150Mbps at the your location?

To be fair to the providers. A minimum stay period is quite right.

Else, people port in, port out within a week or 2 or within a month or 2 like nobody business.

It is to prevent such abuses!
