NSA 5GNow, SIMBA has added 5G to its 4G infra not long ago. I guess this type of issue is common at the initial stages of the roll out period!

Never! May be you had happened to be at those weak signal's spots!Does anyone encounter difficulty I answering calls?

The issue I encountered was I can hear the party, the party cannot hear me.Never! May be you had happened to be at those weak signal's spots!
It is pretty subjective! The issue could be from the other party's cell signal unless the calls are from a landline! The issue I encountered was I can hear the party, the party cannot hear me.
Confirm both 5G and 4G using same base station id number with network cell info app. However not all base stations are enabled for 5G. Seem like only one base station at my place is enabled. Maybe similar to the 4G+ on band 40 that depends on signal strength. Move away from window the signal strength dropped very slightly, still connected to same base station dropped to 4G.IMHO.
Also could be your mobile issue ?
In my scenario, I think 5G and 4G different base station. Depending on whether I am nearer to the window, the mobile will switch between 5G and 4G.![]()
It happens, especially when you’re in an area of weaker 3G.Does anyone encounter difficulty I answering calls?
IMHO.i use iphone 14 pro. 5g set to on. but i still cant get any 5g network. i am in their 5g location based on nperf.
I think you can only see that Simba 5G when you enable SA network (Android).IMHO.
I am not on IOS. Prior to the launch, I used manual mode to hunt for 5G. Maybe you can try that.

If u disable SA, you will only see SIMBA 4G?
Anyone can confirm this?
Using s21 5g with SA enabled. Everything works seamlessly..Nope! It doesn't work this way! I'm using my Samsung Android phone as an example.
SIMBA is running on 5G NSA, not 5G SA. As long as you are in the 5G NSA coverage spots. You will see a the "5G" logo.
So, if I activated the "5G SA Only" option on my Samsung phone when I'm in the 5G NSA coverage area. The "5G" logo stayed but I would lose the 5G NSA and 4G and 3G data connections totally. I confirmed it with Speedtest which it failed to detect any types of data connection.
The moment I deactivated the "5G SA Only" option. I got back my 5G NSA/4G/3G data connections as per normal.

IMHO.I think Simba users should not expect them to roll out 5G SA network extensively, perhaps in selected locations but just not everywhere. Simba has only been allocated n1 5G band with 10mhz bandwidth while the rest of the telcos have n78 with 100mhz which means theirs is 10 times smaller than what other telcos have. It doesn't make economic sense to buy new equipment and equip the SA network all over SG, especially when the n1 band is only slightly faster than 4G. The best they will do is probably to upgrade their existing 4G towers to 5G NSA, maybe until 3G gets closed next year and they reallocate those bands for more 5G.

my colleague just complain to me he got the esim and getting 1 bar at his flatIMHO.
After being with them so long, not much expectation from them.
4G for me already CMI. 5G like 4G speed but ok, since it is free and I finally got some benefits.
$10 is ok to pay to see their performance and growth.

IMHO.The only real advantage of SIMBA is cheap roaming. So if you are expecting real 5G speed out of it, your expectations are set too high.
