Ermm. If isigned up for simba online using credit card, does it mean it is auto deduct every billing period? Cos i searched online all seem to say is must go app top up? But i remember reading somewhere saying if never top up in app then they will auto deduct from credit card?

If signed up with Credit Card, deduction will be via the card unless there's sufficient balance in eWallet (Account Balance) then deduction will be from eWallet.

used tpg roaming in Taiwan, Taipei specifically

data a bit iffy at some locations

ended up buying tourist prepaid card, 300ntd for 5 days, 4g sim

can buy from airport or ChungHwa store in Taipei
APGT sucks even by local Taiwanese standards

I would only use it as backup. The big 3 telcos have stores in Taoyuan Airport anyway and the plans are not very expensive.

Support the underdog. The 3 traffic just want to kill the outsider and monopolise the market.
See this happened before Simba came in. Similar price plan, even caller id also want to charge u.

Must not like Simba get killed by them. lol.
I'm not saying don't support them. I'm saying that you can't expect Simba to suddenly one day have 1Gbps+ 5G speed. 200Mbps is about the best you'll see. It's not slow but just not that fast lor

IMHO.
As far as I can recall, can go into the app and buy another $10.

seems like simba is just there to make telcos more competitive. not really to provide a decent mobile experience.
Don't find anything not decent leh, from day 1, I have been relying on their network without any fibre broadband at home, works fine with tethering to my computer. Later on, added another card for work, so in total got 200GB a month to use. At home 4G+ and 5G full bars, unless doing a speed test, else won't know the speed is slow.

Your requirement is not high.

Local data at $1 per GB, just top up $5 (min) for 5GB bah. No use, the money will stay there.

Seems like 100gb not enough for u. U should consider upgrade your plan instead. Can go for the 130gb SuperRoam MY for $13/MTH. First 3 month got promo. $10/MTH. But this plan no intl roaming free. But good Malaysia roam and idd call

Hi all, just sharing. Simba do not have roaming call in Australia. I tried to use my cell signal (not using data or their Simba call) on Simba line it is not working. According to Simba, they mentioned they are not ready in Australia. So can only rely on data for WhatsApp call. What so strange is I can receive sms while in Australia, something I felt so strange.

Yes, it doesn't have roaming call in AU, however, SIMBA Voice app could help. In fact, I sort of prefer SIMBA Voice app over direct voice call, as I don't have to turn on this line and can still receive phone call. Of course by turning off the line, I couldn't receive SMS, but receiving SMS nowadays is mainly for OTP, so you could just turn it on when needed.
